Yeah, I mentioned in a previous post that he's actually younger than Harden. But I'm thinking he's got that old-man smell.
I could really see Faried flourishing here. Run, rebound, finish. I see this as an Austin Rivers level impact.
its the double transgression principle in action.... rockets reputation can not get worse if the owner is angry at the dog for breaking a vase into pieces then he might as well pick up a piece of chicken from the table on his way out
That was a good video. Sometimes it comes down to role. The "role" of PNR Big off the bench looks to best suit him. Sounds like in the past he wouldn't embrace that role. But perhaps he has been humbled. And on the Harden lead team he can see where the fit lies.
I just don't see that. I can't imagine them (league, agents, players, really anybody outside of CF) saying "they only offered a one, two or three NG minimum contract to a substantially unknown player who recently passed waivers. The Bastards!". The entire House situation does give you an appreciation for Gerald Green. Adding on this link https://www.hoopsrumors.com/2019/01/examining-stalemate-between-rockets-danuel-house.html Which goes thru all the options available to player and team. I found it informative.
IMO there's nothing wrong with low balling, that's just a strawman others on this board have built up. It's Morey's job to get the best deal possible when we need it. The problem with the House situation is that we need him and while we had him we needed ANOTHER 3&d wing too. To shove the guy into the g-league because he wouldn't accept LITERALLY the WORST CONTRACT IN THE NBA is past the point of lowballing and in the territory of masochism in the hopes of MAYBE showing off to the cheapskate owner. The only people who should be happy with that contract offer are people who have 0 faith that they can play in this league. If our ONLY goal was to save money, this negotiation is going splendidly. If our goal is to win a championship this season and saving money is a sub-goal of our main goal, then this is a ridiculous line for the organization to take. Offer the man $4m guaranteed for 2 years and call it a day. He will still outplay that contract and now you can spend your time finding a way to dump $2m before the deadline. I'm not saying this @ you btw, I'm just venting my frustration.
I'm not against low balling either, but our situation is quite dire. I already posted previously a 2yr deal worth a max of 5M would be a fair one.
We can't sign him till we release someone right? So if he's posting publicly, must mean a decision has been made re Melo/Nunally.
Be cautious! Sometimes when you pick up something from recycle bin, there is virus or "no longer being used". Brandon Wright and Joe Johnson are samples.
