I actually don't really like the sentiment here...to me it sounds like Stephen A is saying "he's allowed to be inefficient, of course he's inefficient, he has nobody to pass to." What he should be saying is that Harden is a very efficient scorer. This isn't even an opinion question, it's a fact. If you think he's inefficient you don't understand efficiency.

It's bizarre that people don't just go look up his TS%.

He isn't efficient, he is the most efficient OF ALL TIME.

I see so much writing and blogging and responses online saying he isn't efficient. WTF is going on?

As I said before, No matter how this season turns out at the end, I don't blame on James at all, without him, we are NOBODY, even Phoenix Suns can destroy our current roster without James Harden. This BROTHER gives us all in order to keep us within the race. Thank you, James!

I agree his assessment is still inaccurate but this is a media conspiracy type win for us. They're finally acknowledging he has to carry us. Seeing stuff from NBA Experts such as Michael Rapaport and his tweet comparing Harden's performance to Steph's is not just unfair and biased, but dishonest. It's obvious that one is fully staffed and the other isn't, yet fans are asked to assess the beauty of their games. I'd like to think that majority of us would be super concerned if Harden is putting up b2b 50 pt games with Paul, Clint, and Gordon all playing.

Exactly. Harden is having the MOST efficient season of all time, scoring 47.2 points per 100 possessions.

SAS is generally kind of a hot take guy, little schticky for me but he is what he is.

Felt like some genuine frustration there. I’d expect a similar response if callers asked if curry is a good 3 pt shooter...

Yup, it was nice to see a media member just appalled at the dumbass questions we have been seeing lately.

James Tiberius Harden needs to keep dropping 50, and we need to win a ring, NOW.

    This is a joke.

Would you rather have one MVP and a bunch of G-League guys?
    Or 4/5 All Stars?

To be fair, these are the kinds of criticisms that people and Rockets fans used to make about Kobe- that he is an inefficient chucker.
Also to be fair, Harden has way more assists, much less shots, and is scoring at a similar or possibly even greater level than Kobe.

To be fair, it's true when it comes to Kobe.

Kobe like Iverson, were inefficient chuckers.

I have heard it discussed on a podcast before(can’t recall which one at the moment) where the topic was looking back on guys we considered great but with the advanced stats make you rethink just how good were they and Kobe was the biggest name. Not to say that if Kobe was in his prime now he wouldn’t be taking advantage of the knowledge to shoot more efficiently, but the numbers are the numbers. He was never an efficiency guy.
