All the threads are popping up now from frustrated fans wanting a legit backup center. Meanwhile, Morey is twiddling his thumbs, our owner is counting his casino cash, and D'Antoni is doing what he loves by playing small ball, watching us take 70 3's, and cheer on Harden as he takes 100 shots. It doesn't win games!! This is the thread for you to air your b****es, sarcasm, memes, and simply scream to our men in charge. Small ball is a joke. The big teams are going to chew us up and spit us out for fun. Get us a legit backup center now!!!!! Wait too late and we will miss playoffs altogether.
Has anyone ever known Morey to be an inactive GM? Seriously dude. The problem is that for the first time in his career, he's assembled a team of mediocre role-players with little to no value on the open market. Who are we trading to receive an impact player in return? We have our draft picks, and I'm not on board with parting with our only valuable future assets (1st rounders) because I simply don't trust this roster to remain healthy enough to win a championship. Morey got chastised for not parting with a 1st round pick to bring an "impact player" in Carmelo Anthony on board last off-season and it worked out for us. Making a panic move isn't the answer.

Morey pulled a guy out of thin air who had a decent game tonight despite joining the team a few hours before tip-off. I hate how much MDA goes to small ball . I love small ball in small doses and vs the right matchups . But MDA loves small ball more than he loves his wife (sorry if in bad taste ) Starting Clark was a joke . Clark looked pretty good when playing the 3/4 Mike worst flaw is that he doesn't realize how good harden is . Put hartenstein in the PnR with James and watch him average 10 points a game . We abandoned the PnR which you just can't do when you have someone as good as harden running it
Carmelo was not a big contract. We needed a legit big man to backup Clint even last year. You can't count 10 min Nene. We have needed another big all year.
He should've called a timeout after losing the missed FT in the last minute If only to give them and James a breather in OT. I hate this "play harder!! they playing hard too!" BS. Only works when you're running with most of your starters.
Do you know what big ball is? Having bigs like Nene and Hartenstein switched out onto 3PT line against the opposing teams best scoring guard. Only a few bigs are special enough to be able to bang, block shots, rebound and guard the perimeter well on switches, and they ain't easy to get.
Because mike thinks he's smarter than he really is . We executed MDA's offense to its zenith tonight ... shooting like 65 threes . But in order to do that played lineups that compromised our defense . The dude just loses sight of the bigger picture sometimes .
This is laughable. It's not just this game. We haven't had a legit backup all year. We have no real bigs with experience other than Clint and 10 min Nene. So yes, I don't believe they are doing enough. They brought 50 diff guards in and out but no big men with experience.
Honestly, I think Nene is good for about 10 min and Hartenstein isn't quite good enough yet. Surely there is someone that is better than them that can be picked up, even if they come from overseas.
Small ball doesn't mean no rim protection. It was too easy for them to score and too damn hard for us. I don't care what ball we are playing, we need to make it harder for the other side to score.
I'm not saying I hate our players. I am saying we need help, so b**** to our coach, GM, and owner to just get us a big and quit playing small ball. We really need one bad, unless you think Nene and the developmental players are gonna get the job done. I'm not feeling it. Dang it, we can't blow this year away.
Because Nene is ****ing old. Because Nene is good for 12 minutes a game, one game per week. Now once you can get past all the sentimental bullshit (but but but players love Nene, Nene's a good locker room guy, blahblahblah), then maybe they can finally get a real backup center. Remember when Thaddeus said the Rockets are gonna RUN it back with Nene? ****in' Thaddeus... At one point, they had five ****ing centers on the roster, only one worthwhile, capable of playing. I couldn't have said it better! Even then though, some, like our head honchos will be fine with small ball and part-time and developmental backups for Clint. If they sign another small guy before a backup center I will scream.
