He had some great regular season teams, and Nash and Stat played well until the WCF. He is what he is. A decent coach relying on great players to prolong his career.
I don't want him fired but Christ he's embarrassing when he doesn't call time outs and when he doesn't instruct to foul up 3. Flat out embarrassing.
He doesn't make any in game adjustments. He just watches Harden bail him out game after game. He never makes it easy for harden by drawing sets.
If we do what we're supposed to do... and the ball just doesnt go in... thats one thing... but it's like none of our guys know what to do in key situations... newsflash... when the game is tied and you are taking the last shot of regulation - make it a high % one - a 3 is not necessary... we did the same dumbass thing against GSW - but we won that one in ot - so it got ignored... we simply do not learn from our mistakes... ...smh.
Just came here cause we lost but MDA was indeed awful today...from putting Chriss out there to not always matching Nene with Allen...but the thing i really don't get is how in the ****ing hell do you not stop the game in the last possession, guys were clearly gassed and they lost like 20 seconds without doing anything, they couldn't even set a pick, stop the ****ing game and try to draw a play, we had two timeouts and 30 seconds to play with, unbelievable.
This is the worst thing I remember in all my years as a Rockets fan. The main responsible for all this disaster is Morey, with a horrible offseason. The ridiculous situation of House is the closing of a series of embarrassing situations. There are also no words to describe the work of MDA, after today's game (added to the games against the Magic and the Wolves), can not continue being the coach of the Rockets.
since rudy/jvg, it's like every rockets coach just let's the other team take 3's instead of fouling. i'm beginning to think they must just be adhering to some data spit out by morey's analytics
Mike should be happy tonight . We shot a lot of threes . That means we win right !?? MDA is what he is at this point. He's a mediocre coach . How many coached NEED a defensive assistant ? I'll give him credit for not making his ego an issue ; but he's absolutely too stubborn and too predictable at the worst times . I hate to not give guys credit ; but we are winning this season only by the grace of James harden . And last season we won only by the grace of harden and Paul .
