I like this. He is a vet that has played a lot of professional basketball. He is 28 so should be able to play right off the bat without having issues fitting in. Hopefully he takes this opportunity by the horns like House did which will give us another player we can rely on at the very least. I assume he has shortcomings but should know his role pretty well which is why he is sacrificing short term for potential long term gain. He is basically betting on himself to be a good fit on this team next to Harden.
I don’t know about forgotten but he will def lose some leverage. Nunnally can shoot plain and simple. With all the open looks he is about to get FANS will def be over House.
My prediction: Nunnally arrives with no time to practice or even be introduced to his new teammates. Has to wear an old Melo jersey. Goes 1-5 from 3 and blows a couple of defensive assignments. After the game on ClutchFans: "This guy's a scrub. Dump him."
Huge risk here by House. If Nunnally fits right in, and gives you everything House did, maybe even more, House could have blown an opportunity to be a millionaire.
nunally looks like he could be a better defender than house...lets cross our fingers... all the videos on youtube just show his offense...
Not necessarily. House only needs 1 out of the other 29 NBA teams to give him a bigger contract than the Rockets can. I think the bigger risk for House here is injury. *Edit: But to be fair, injuries are always a risk for players in contract years.
Nunnally looks like a cocaine addict. Dudes rail thin. House is effective defensively because he's thick.
It’s almost like I wrote about this 24 hours ago....Where’s J.R. at? I gotta ask him something!! One day, y’all gonna stop disrespecting me. Until then I’ll do what I do ♂️
It's never easy for the Rockets. I like House, but I hope Nunnally kills it for the Rockets and for the drams.
I would love to be able to laugh at your post, topfive, but the possibility of that happening is way too real. The opposite is also too possible. He comes in for a 10 minute stretch and plays great. Hits a couple of 3's, makes a layup, has a couple of assists, plays decent defense, and the GARM explodes. "Nuclear Nunnally Nukes the Nets!" My imagination goes downhill from there.
Yeah no way you can earn playing time under D'Antoni. It's crazy really. How can we ever get someone to earn the playing time that Danuel House had earned after all these years of hard work under D'Antoni. It's not like we could just bring someone in off the street and they end up playing significant minutes here.
and it can be quite the opposite too.... actually i think it'll be pretty hard for Nunnally to top what House did...
