The Rockets are not getting anyone better than House in the buyout market.

Every year we hear about “wait for the buyout market” and nothing special happens. The players available aren’t very good. There is a reason they are being bought out.

Give me House now, rather than hope some Josh Smith type player is bought out AND beat out 30 other teams for that player AND have that player be at a position we need filled AND hope that player fits in as well as House.

Just stupid not to sign House.

maybe it's time for a brown paper bag fulla money to show up at House's doorstep to 'make up the diff' between what the Rox are offering - and what he deserves...

maybe from the guy that can use his help on the court - and the guy who's absence from the court makes House more needed...

    jus sayin...

    ;) lol

With Harden, CP, and Capella occupying the majority of our cap. I don’t blame Morey playing hardball with House. Signing quality players on team friendly contracts is the only way we can extend our window of contention. I love the idea of House and Clark as part of our future core of role players. And I honestly think TF doesn’t want to pay the repeater tax. Morey has to get the best deals now

Exactly. How many people would say that about their job. It’s only entertainment for us, this is how House feeds his family.

The percentages aren't pretty, but I disagree. When he's open and doesn't hesitate, that 3 is pretty.

Again, I'm being told to wait on the House situation. One is an intentional reason (loophole or plan); the other is movement to make it work out.

If James is as tight with DH as I'm hearing, I don't know if Morey will be too quick to send him packing. Summer ears knew James wasn't pleased with losing Trevor and even "talk" of his Shoe Bro being shopped.

House has leverage, we have jack sht. Injuries and lack of depth from it is screwing us. Pay up or pray for the bearded one to save us.

True, but I still think it's very risky on his part. He's getting a life changing offer from the Rockets and he would still be young enough to get a big contract if he keeps doing what he is doing. I don't think Morey is lowballing him either. Maybe this makes Morey pull the trigger on a trade for another wing and House is left to start over on another team without Harden setting him up.

I hope they get a deal done ASAP because he does seem like he has some upside.

He’d be pushing 30 if he signed that deal. If he’s going to get a big deal, it has to happen now for him.

So you are telling me House will be playing tomorrow night?

Also have you heard anything about possible interest in Dedmon, would love to get him on this team.

The payroll situation isn’t Houses problem. Tillman knew the payroll and tax situation when he bought the team. The Rockets are wasting the prime of a player that is top 5-10 all time (prime wise).

Had the Rockets even offered 1 million or 1.5 million more, doubling the minimum; he may have signed or at a minimum they could take the high ground and argue they made a fair offer. They didn’t, the offered the very least/worst offer possible from House’s perspective and then only marginally improved it.

That's a risk he's willing to take. It's not convenient for us, but he's living his life for him and not the fans or this organization.
