Rockets do this all the time. I’ve learned to just not pay attention to the initial diagnosis.

They get your hopes up and then disappoint you. Frustrating every time.

Posted in the CP3 Injury thread but feel relevant to the discussion...

Rockets front office is certainly tight-lipped but think how we played during the death stretch has afforded the team the luxury of resting these guys while there is an opportunity to do so. If the Rockets went 4-6 instead of 8-2, I very much believe at least EGO would be back in action at this point.

I do not think the injury was worse than thought or anything of the like. I imagine the Rockets anticipated they'd be working off a significant deficit & would need him back sooner rather than later.

My Deep Speculation: The Front Office & MDA have probably butted heads around minute restrictions. Mike clearly does not play the old Pop' game and is going to play them as he sees fit. In response, likely compromise, the front office / training staff is keeping these guys out longer, when they can, to keep their overall minutes played down (season perspective).

Literally what does that have to do with what I just said lol Gordon does not like Houston anymore because of the trade rumors and he's playing like ****. Harden needs help. He and Ennis should be gone.

The Rockets need him right now. The chances of beating many teams with out Capela Gordon and Paul are probably quite small.

I'd give them a better than coinflip's chance to beat the Nets. Brooklyn is respectable this season, but they're still hovering around .500. They will need EG against the Lakers on Saturday unless LeBron is still out. And he must return by the time they play at Philly on Monday.

This is big... with EG.... the Rockets can keep winning... less strain on Harden.

For the long run, I'd trade Gordon for a rookie and an expiring contract.

This is bigly. Gordon can run the offense.

Harden or Gordon should be on the court 48 minutes per game.

Let's not get carried away. He can handle the ball, which is useful.
