From what I heard on 610 this morning re: the Maxim party, it's at the Regal Ranch. Wherever the hell that is. Anyone make it downtown last night? I decided to brave the rain and head downtown. Perhaps it was the threat of rain that kept a lot of people off the streets, but it took me 20 minutes to get from my house in Sugar Land to a parking lot downtown. Anyway, Main Street was beautiful. It didn't look like anything I've ever seen in Houston. It reminded me of a cleaner French Quarter. All the hoopla surrounding some of the exclusive clubs were pretty fun to watch. Crowds just gathered around the Mercury Room, Boaka Bar, and M Bar to get a glimpse of a celebrity. I never saw anyone. I was too busy looking at the all the scantily dressed women parading around. God truly is a Man. There were still plenty of bars and clubs to get into that had reasonable cover charges. I caught the opening ceremony to kick off the Main Event, which was kinda weak. They counted down to 'flip tha switch' and it was like a weak ejaculation of confetti. I also caught some of the free music acts, and well, not really my cup of tea, but it was good live music. KC & The Sunshine Band was pretty good. The lead singer of Molly & The Ringwalds, is freakin' smokin'. I'm proud of how many people turned out on a Thursday night. I'm going tonight, and I know it'll even be more fun. Hope you guys make it out. Did I mention how many incredibly delicious, luscious, beautiful, make you get on your knees and beg for a taste of that oh so sweet nectar ladies were downtown?
we had a blast last night...the rain held off...tons of people on the streets. we parked at my friend's apartment in montrose area and walked over to the Ensemble station to catch the train in, which saved us the hassle of finding parking downtown. all kinds of activity...saw them filming their segment for SportsCenter...went into the Hilton and it's just amazing...like a big party in the lobby. and tons of people walking around having fun. great event.
What time do things get started tonight on Maine St? Any reccomendations on where to park? I think my wife and I are gonna go see Jay Mohr's show, then head downtown.
My buddy wants to go to a strip club, but Ive had enough fake t*** for a while..... I think we may end up hitting Hotel Derek.
