The Repubs, through Drudge are claiming Kerry has had Botox treatments to smooth out his forehead. Here's their evidence... http://www.drudgereport.com/mattjk2.htm Now, I'm no botox expert, and lord knows Kerry's not exactly handsome, but it looks to me like in all the "before" pictures, Kerry's eyebrows are arched or he has some kind of facial thing going that, given his face, would naturally cause his forehead to wrinkle. In all the "After" photos, his eyes and brows are relaxed. Ha! How pathetic and scared can the GOP get? My guess is a lot more. This should be fun over the next few months, but in the long run, it troubles me a bit because the GOP was once a great party and now they are reduced a dependence on money in lieu of ideas and to taking swipes at an opponent because his forehead is smooth.
I can't imagine anyone with any sense would care even if Kerry had had the treatment. It reminds me a little of the whole "Clinton goes more or less grey depending on the audience" that Rush Limbaugh trotted about in 1992.
If he didn't get them his forehead would probably cover his eyes by now and he wouldn't be able to see.
Bush 2004, by the standards established by Trader_Jorge and the power vested in me by virtue of my repeated public flogging of Trader Jorge resulting in a state of perpetual ownership thereof and thereafter, I hereby pronounce your campaign to be on: LIFE SUPPORT
Look we've all known that Kerry is a vain, pretty boy. I hear that he's planning on putting George Hamilton on his staff to perfect his tan before the general election.
It does look like he got *something* done. But in this age of style over substance, I don't blame him.
From the photo on Drudge now, with Kerry's eyebrows up and with only a few slight, straight lines where there used to be naturally crooked, deep ones, I think he's had something done too. Drudge's obsession with it is another matter entirely. Perhaps this is the first shot in the style over substance war. I mean, they know they can't win on substance, but style? Worked (well, close enough anyway) in 2000.
I'd much rather have a President who has had a botox treatment than a President who doesn't know sh*t from shinola. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Can you taste the RNC chairman's tonsils? Just wondering since you have your tongue so far up his a$$.
i wouldn't take it that seriously, rimrocker...i don't think it's desperation..i think he's just making fun of kerry...that's it.
See this is how it works... You say "It's no that big of a deal, it' s just a joke." But to corrupt Freud, "Sometimes a joke is not just a joke." This is aimed at creating the lingering impression that Kerry is an effete Liberal in contrast to Bush's manly manliness. It's part and parcel of Bush's idea to not really run on terror and the Iraq War (because he can't make logical, truthful, or popular arguments), but to run on the image of the same... Brush chopping straight-shooter wrapped in the flag. The more they make the Dem nominee look silly, girly, or whatever, the more little slices of the moron vote they get. Expect more of these "jokes" over the next months... and like I said, I find it sad that the Grand Old Party that once stood for some great ideas and has done so much to make this country great is reduced to doing favors for Money so they can get money to try and win elections by splitting the country over social issues and crap like this. They are morally bankrupt and devoid of ideas. By the way, I'm DYE-ing to know why this never made it up on Drudge... GWB before the State of the Union GWB During the State of the Union Fair and balanced I guess.
no kidding...but are you saying the liberal media doesn't do the very same thing??? come on! the press has bashed bush for all sorts of silly little things he's done...in an effort to ultimately discredit him. that's the game in a media-driven society, i suppose. throw in some cynical humor, and people will tune in to you and your ideas. of course it's poking fun...but there's little substance to it. who cares if kerry used botox?? i could care less.
