    Talk about living by the moment. I don’t care if 99% of the government is shut down, if Mueller’s prosecutions (kind of passed the term investigation) bear any fruit these next few weeks, it will dominate the news.

    I honestly don’t think he’s doing this for the news cycle directly. I actually think he sees a window for dividing and conquering (forcing an early impeachment on his terms) before the bigger Mueller stuff hits the fan. This is his chance for a power grab and to neuter the Dems on Impeachment these next two years.

    I honestly think that’s his knee jerk strategy. And yeah it’s knee jerk although he is good at manipulating people so it could work if Dems played into it.

    Sorry if I missed something earlier in the thread, but what do you mean by forcing an early impeachment on his terms?
    Do you mean the showdown over the wall is a chance for a power grab to neuter the dems on impeachment? How?
