Doesn't that prove the point against tanking? A "generational" prospect before the draft turns out to be meh 5 years later so why should we blow up the team if nothing is guaranteed? It is too late to bank on getting no 1 pick both Atlanta and Suns have that thing covered.
Actually, we have been trying to tank, unfortunately, where ever Harden throws the ball, it gets into the basket. And somehow, we have been scoring more than opponents. We should try harder. Not easy task though
I'll never understand why people will freak out over a slow start to a season and immediately want to quit and shut down the stars for the season. Do you think Harden would agree to that scenario? Also why dig in and argue such a dumb idea especially after we've gone 9-1 over our last ten games? The NBA season is long RELAX.
You realize the lottery rules are no longer the same as they were at that time right? The odds tanking can net you Yao Ming, Dream or the next Lebron James are VERY low now. Before you already had to be very lucky, now tanking is just a recipe for perpetually having a bad team. Of course you can spout examples from the prior system but EVEN THEN odds were you create a Clippers situation where teams were perpetually in the dog house. Today it's just lunacy.
I agree. You'd have to bench like 5 players to lose that many games in order to get perhaps a 15% chance at a top 5 pick.
This ^ is a life lesson for TheRealist137... 11 out of the last 12. 4th Seed in West. Beat the Warriors ***twice. Beat the Warriors in GS with no Paul or Gordon. this season is done.
Man, how are you gonna be able to post anything on this board If Harden wins his second MVP this season “which he will” , and Rockets might make a good run in the playoffs ( which they might).
I've been kinda busy so I missed this. You know you're right. We should definitely shut it down. This thread.
After we lost a game to the blazers I thought realist would bump his thread but he didn't. Maybe he was just waiting for us to lose the Nuggets. I wonder how he explains any if our success.
