Most of them will continue to blame the guy who said before it started that the shut-down would be his fault and he would take the mantle for it. He made the claim and so most people will blame him. It's why most people blame him now. It is his fault. He could have accepted increased money for border security but he wouldn't He wants a wall, and that is and should be a non-starter.

Oh I’m not really worried about Mueller anymore. If he gets obstructed any more and anything done by Whitaker, I think we’ll know about it and Mueller just might share all publicly in a hearing which would be an early part of the impeachment process.

I also think it will backfire on 2020 for all Republicans because the more and more we force facts into the equation the more it’s exposed to those who can still be influenced in Midwest states that the border issues are just a political tool used to play them for fools.

There’s also really solid 2020 candidates who will have a microphone and can really help disarm this issue like this

I think people should be reminded how important the wall is politically to trump... the call trump had with the President of Mexico should remind everyone... folks are missing paychecks because trump needs a political win...

Maybe Trump hears voices inside of his ... very, very large brain.

Trump is proving to be a terrible negotiator. He keeps changing his mind. He keeps reneging on agreements.

The underestimated is what he is willing to do. People may think he is crazy, but do not actually believe he will act crazy. That's the underestimation. Even his supporters believe he wouldn't go too far and underestimate what he is willing to do. They believe he has the interest of the US, #MAGA, and all that bs. It all comes down it's about him, only him and he doesn't care about anyone else, any amount of harm or suffering to anything or anyone. The only thing external to him that can impact him is how people view him (that popular thing). In that frame, he is willing to do anything. So, when he said the shutdown is weeks to years, yes, that a BS, but don't think he is not willing to go that far. The ONLY reason he has not gone too far (relatively to himself) is he does actually listen to people he like around him, including FoxNews to get that feedback on his image. But guess what, as that circle becomes smaller and smaller (most of the adults are gone) and more of yes, dear leader, there will be less and less of the feedback of ... ah, that's a bit too far Mr. President. And so, to me, there is a good chance of an extended shutdown.

So your case here is that the majority of Americans believe Congress should succumb to the poltical whims of every President that is elected?

So if Elizabeth Warren wins in 2020 you are okay with Senate Republicans allowing Warren to include 5 billion dollars for free college for all in a routine spending resolution because it’s Congresses job to rubber stamp the wishes of the president even to the point that they should by-pass the normal legislative process and start using the budget of the federal governments every day operations to force political campaign objectives??

That’s exactly what you are saying here if you are willing to say this is on Pelosi. There’s just no other way to articulate your point, and I hope you realize the power you are giving to future Democratic presidents and the presidency in general where the Congress is just now a rubber stamp for a newly autocratic presidency.

Which is what you are advocating here plain and clearly. I just want to state again in case you are missing the point. If it’s on Congress for allowing the president to use routine budget continuing resolutions to get their poltical objectives accomplished, that is autocracy. You are advocating autocracy.

The shutdown is simple. I've posted something similar to this, but here's the strategy:

Trump has been doing this his entire life. He can and will drag things out with his money (or on staff lawyers) until the people with less money cave. In America, money wins. Trump knows this. It's how he's been getting away with his criminal behavior for years. It's well documented.

What he's trying to do is to hold out for a political win that he thinks will make him look better. He's too ignorant to realize that this is tranishing his all so precious legacy. He's all too ignorant to realize that his legacy never was. He thinks that the Democrats, being a bit more level headed, will cave when the economy and security of the country, amongst other things, starts to be put in jeopardy.

All this is, is an adult version of a two year old throwing themselves on the floor of a grocery store and crying and pounding fists because Mom won't buy them a piece of candy.

...and I heard so many people say that America needs someone that really understands business and the economy to get it back on track.

But no one wanted to listen when I said someone that's declared bankruptcy three times, and is immoral as Satan wasn't the right choice...

If this drags on months or years as Trump has threatened, he's going to find himself without a government to manage. The unfortunate government employees not getting paychecks aren't going to wait forever for love of country before reassessing their employment options.

If Mexico is paying for it, why did HE shut down the government over a lack of funding for it. What a moron.
