Garnett if I could only have one; there's no substitute for a dominant big man. Garnett is better than Duncan, and O'Neal won't be playing many more years.

KG puts up better numbers than Duncan, but TD makes his team better.

I would go with KG by a hair over Duncan. I think what puts KG over the top is his versatility in being able to play any of the 3 front court positions and his perimeter defence. But I can't argue with Duncan either.

Garnett is the best basketball player on the planet right now. He's a freak. But Duncan dominates the game in a way only a post player can do.

I love KG, but you've gotta go with Duncan at this point.

That's right; Garnett is just as good, if not better, offensively, and a better perimeter defender. And, he hits his free throws.

I don't buy the "rings" factor as evidence that Duncan is better than Garnett; I'd like to see how many championships Duncan would have won with Minnesota.

    ... and it's teal...

This isnt really fair to Yao as he has not even peaked yet. If we had to choose today I would choose TD he didnt have a THudson or WallyZ or even a Rasho. TD was the glue that held all of them together and it makes you wonder how KG could never make it past the first round. Maybe the first round matchups were hard but still makes you wonder.

I think Yao will become the MDE in a few years once his teammates learn how to feed him the ball where he likes it. Until then I go with TD who is consistent overall and has won 2 championships with his team.

Shaq is a dominant force who would be nice to build around. He has a proven track record of staying out of the negative headlines (which eliminates Iverson, Kidd and Kobe) and producing on the court for years (which eliminates LeBron - my #2 choice, and Yao).

Duncan seems to have no commercial appeal, and KG and TMac are great players who don't get more sponsors for some reason. Shaq has had national commercials for numerous companies, like RadioShaq. I think more players would want to play with Shaq to go for a title soon, which would help turn an expansion franchise into a powerhouse in no time.

However, if the host city for the NBA team was Shanghai, then Yao would be my man.

I take TD over KG on mentality.

    No doubt it's Tim Duncan!

No one has picked Kobe yet?? what's going on in here?

I want to list Dirk, but who should be left out?? AI..? Kidd??

Look like it all comes down to KG and TD.... I would probably pick KG. The reason is that it looks like KG is still improving every year. It is scary, the guy seems like he has no ceiling.

I like TD too, he is probably more skilled than KG. I just like KG better.

This is my choice for now... I am suspecting soon I will choose YM over them all :D
