KOC has easily got to be the strongest Harden defender out there in the media.
lol I can't wiath to listen to this on the drive home. Verno is a Grizz homer so I knew he was going to be extra salty on his podcast after the L the grizz took. Im thirsty for those tears!!
Man, KOC did a GREAT job as an unbiased fan of basketball. I wish he was a rabid Rockets fan. Vernon is trash. He added nothing to the conversation. This will probably be on YouTube later.
This is the Harden media bias in a microcosm. For example - KOC brings this very compelling stat: James Harden is 1st in the NBA in Drives to the Rim per Game with 19.1 (DeMar DeRozan is 2nd at 18.9) James is 5th in the NBA in Foul Percentage per drive behind Spencer Dinwiddie, Lebron James, Giannis A. and Zack LaVine. So Lebron and Giannis both get more calls per Drive than Harden. Vernon argues that Harden is boring because of all the foul shots and that no one wants to watch that. What he ignores is that everyone likes to watch drives to the rim and Harden does that more than anyone else. So he cherry picks a negative and ignores the positive in order to hate on Harden.
Someone needs to send him a couple of videos to show that Harden doesn’t flail all the time. Or that he get foul more than he gets calls for. Or that the narrative is that he barely gets touch and has the refs on his pocket. People don’t even watch the rockets game most of the time just see the box score and complain.
I love KOC knows bringing up Harden will get under his skin. Lol, I wonder if KOC even enjoys doing the podcast with Vernon.

That was a painful listen, couldn't even get through it all. Vernon sounded like an absolute moron, like he is legitimately fthe type of person that comments Foul, three free throws for Harden on any NBA post on social media. KOC was all facts and Verno just kept making **** up about what Harden is thinking every single time he drives. "He just wants to get fouled wah wah wah wah" Got proven wrong and he's all "what about jumpshots what about the fouls on jumpshots". They sure do like to collect painful personalities at The Ringer. Verno the worst of them. Dude sounds and carries himself like a 60 year old who has been working the NBA his whole life and in actual fact, he is this:
BINGO! And further..... Players that drive to the rim and get fouled are ok. Because their intent is to score. VERNO (who is in Harden's head apparently) says THE ONLY REASON Harden dives IS to get fouled (aka foul hunting). So CV can basically cast out Harden because of that "IMPLIED" intent. AND....everything else Harden does (passing/shooting etc) is disregarded in the analysis.
