    Bullshit.

Bob may have wanted Mahomes, but he was fine with Watson.

That article mentions Brooks and Quinn. UM....that was YEARS before O'Brien.

Ah, so when the defense sucks its on BOB as the head coach. When the defense is winning games, its on RAC saving BOB.. Sure, makes sense...

Only 2 teams have put up 30+ points on the Eagles all year. The Texans, and the Saints... quit trying to force protect the defense and put it all on BOB.

No need to protect the defense. They have carried this team for most of the season. They lost their CBs during the game. They started with Joseph, Kareem (filling in due to injury), Webster, Colvin, and Burton. They ended with Colvin and Burton with Joseph dragging his lifeless body on the field. The offense and defense took turns letting the other down. You can look at the game-winning drive; or you can look at the defense getting an interception on the Eagle's side of the field with the lead but the offense getting a three and out. You can look at 400+ yards by the Eagles' offense; or you can look at 13 rushing yards by the Texan's RBs. You can look at Clowney's penalties; or you can look at Watson's sacks. The most frustrating part of the offense is we've seen what they can do with Watson. They just don't do it enough. Imagine if the two drives that gave the Texans the one point lead happened in the 3rd quarter when they had a lead. The Eagles took advantage of the beat up secondary; went for it on almost every fourth down. We would just like to see the Texans do the same and not wait till they are down late in the game to open up the offense. Especially since they don't have the run game to hold leads anymore.

I don't know why you all get so sensitive and go nuts defending the head coach. He's the head coach. That's his job. His job is to find a way to get a win. He wants the blame. Let him have it.

Same reason so many of you get so nuts blaming everything on one person. I want an OC, not a new head coach. But I'm also not angry enough to mistakenly put all the blame on him. It's annoying that when this was 95% on the defense you guys still blame the coach, and when the defense gets a win, it has nothing to do with the coach. False starts on offense? BOB's fault. Watt and Clowney making penalties that give them 8 goal to go tries? Thats on Watt and Clowney, lets trade them. Wins are in spite of BOB, losses are because of BOB.. Just a boring trend. BOB is lucky to have Watson, but all the sh*tty qbs before him were BOBs fault. Just tiring, thats all. But I agree to the point that an OC would be helpful.

I was going to say, they seem to get along well and O'Brien seems to love Watson for him being a plan B that he never wanted.

We are ride or die with this guy, but ultimately he will be a barrier to reaching the team's potential.

His playcalling is atrocious.....or bad if he doesn't have a burner..... TIGHT ENDS would help but he doesn't use em.

Since you want a new OC (I think most here do too), you're okay if they're blaming Bill O'Brien the OC? So you're in agreement. A majority on this board like him as a head coach. Everyone was ecstatic that he won the Bill vs Rick battle. They just don't like Bill the OC and play-caller. Shoot, some were even arguing that he should get some COY votes. Plus he can handle it. He says he needs to coach better.

I totally disagree this is 95% (maybe 60%) on the defense. An offense, that needs to rely on the rushing game can't have 13 yards rushing. The Eagles rushing game wasn't working either so they went through the air and were aggressive gambling on multiple 4th downs. Offense made plays, defense made plays; offense made mistakes, defense made mistakes. I had a bad feeling in my gut after the offense went 3 and out after the McKinney interception. I also had a bad feeling when Zach Ertz caught that touchdown on a 4th down try. That was a good Eagles team. A good, desperate team at home. For all the injuries the team sustained, I give them credit for almost pulling it out in the end.

More and O’Brien proves he is not the coach to get us to the big game

I'm not against blaming BOB the OC, but I don't agree with this as the game to do it. I said the same thing after the Pats and Seahawks last year. Offense scored 33, 38, and 30 (one of only 2 teams to score 30+ against the eagles this season)... Those games were on the defense and their inability to stop the other team.

I think it's fairly obvious who was in charge of the draft.

Man the dude said both OB and RAC deserves the blame, as well as the players themselves. And yes Bill Obrien deserves the backlash that he's getting. You have a chance to solidify home field advantage, a bye week. And you come out conservative. That same offense we ran in the 4th, should've been the game plan from the start. Spread that ash out and let Watson go to work. Stop waiting until our backs are in a corner to open up the freaking offense.

That's why Obrien gets blamed. That and along with his terrible situational football awareness.
