Look what you people did to Gary Clark. Learn from it.

If it helps at all I’m a firm believer that the first couple games players like him will perform well. Then the suck comes and everyone on CF will be back with the pitchforks.

Except for MCW and Brandon Knight. They both have been bad so far the entire time. The only highlight for either of them was the 3 pointer during garbage time for MCW to give us the 3 point record.

Rivers will have bad games too, but there’s sufficient data and film to have expectations of him that are reasonable. He has a span of 202 games over his three seasons before this where he hit 36.6% 3PT on 4 3PA. He’s had many stretches showing that he can and will compete on defense even though he will still make mistakes & dumb fouls. He’s shown he can score well in iso, and he’s shown he can get to the basket.

If you keep the expectations to those things and him as an overall mediocre player, then you won’t get dissapointed. There was no NBA data on Clark, and after his first 6 games, he was still just shooting 35/33. 5 more games with more minutes and it was 34/30.
