My band is playing the SuperBash tonight, although it ain't so super. I still have yet to hear from anyone affiliated with the event since we were booked. We just found out our timeslot changed by looking at the website. So, let me rephrase it by saying my band might be playing at the not-so-SuperBash.
I will be at the NFL Experience again on Saturday and in downtown to get "crunk" with the revelers in the street on Saturday night. If you see a tall slender dude in a throwback Namath jersey going nuts, come and say hi.

I am planning to stay as far the hell away from downtown this weekend, but the Lewis and Clark in me might drag my ass to Fannin South to take the train Friday night and check out the hoopla. Ain't gonna drop down big $$$ for a cover charge to some ridiculous party however!
I'm leaving Austin after work Friday, so I'll probably have dinner with my mom. Afterwards, maybe hit up Rice Village. The NFL Experience sounds like lots of fun for Saturday afternoon, so most likely I'll be there. Look for the guy in the Longhorn polo shirt. In the evening, I'll probably go to the club. Midtown is supposed to be pretty tight, so maybe I'll check out Red Star.
Baqui, I doubt you'll be able to get into these clubs without dropping a lot of ca$h this weekend. Just check out the Main Event, it's free, and it will probably be a lot more fun. RMT, I was the same way at first. I hate traffic, all the ppl who can't drive, moving slow, finding parking, etc.. But then I said to myself, I love Houston. I always brag about how awesome this city is to my friends. We've worked so hard to get the Superbowl here, and even harder to make it a success. I owe to the city, and above all to myself to wrap myself in all the fervor that this event brings. I would never go to another city to participate in Superbowl related activities. Unless the Texans were going, of course. But even then, it'd be highly unlikely for me to get tix. So here it is, in my own backyard, in a city that I love, built by fellow Houstonians! Hey, live life to the fullest. I'm not about to regret not going downtown because I'm becoming an old man! Hope to see you guys there!
I was out and about last night and the traffic wasn't so bad. I dropped $5 for parking and then took one of those bike buggies to get to where I needed to go. Piece of cake.
coming in from austin on thursday....gonna try to hit up village area and hopefully going to the PLAYBOY PARTY!!! small chance but im praying.....
