    IMO he has the most punchable face in Rockets History. And I've liked 99.99% of players that have been Rockets.

    Maybe he's been humbled just a little bit after not contributing in Washington, then getting cut/bought out by the worst team in the league. He doesn't have daddy backing him up here, so he has no reason to have a beef with anybody. He's playing for next seasons contract, so there is his motivation.

    "I think I've gotten into it competitive-wise with these guys because they are just like me," Rivers said. "I think I fit more with them than I do with a lot of other teams. They have a lot of guys who have that competitive dog spirit. That's their makeup. I definitely fit in very well here in terms of competing and doing everything I can for the team."

    With Rivers and Harty now on the Roster, Rockets have a full Caucasian.. Are we ready to compete?

    @heypartner

    Perhaps Feigen is saving this for tomorrow's story........ But I find it interesting that, other than MDA, there weren't any player/teammate quotes on the Rivers addition.

    They better not have an issue and they better be down to get better with Rivers added. We're in a bad way so if he can help which I think he will then you get on board. He's a Rocket now so put the petty sh*t to bed and lets go on a streak.

    Might have to disagree. Most punchable for me would be Scottie Pippen. Dude was always so smug. Unlike Pippen, I think Rivers is going to try to fit in.

    Shouldn't matter. Even if real.... What matters more is CP3 (and Harden) is ok with the signing. Doc isn't the Rocket's coach, so no space for playing favorite and thus potential frustration with the coach, and jealousy toward the player. Furthermore, his role and expectation are clear with this team - this isn't a Melo situation, where Melo might said one thing (fine with being a bench player), but believe in another thing (not a bench player). The Rockets would drop him in a second if he causes issue with the team.

    I saw a Harden quote.

    Alykhan Bijani
    "He's a really good defender. He can shoot the ball well. He can make plays and handle it. Obviously, with the guys that are out, with him being basically free it was a no-brainer. He's going to have more than enough opportunities." - James Harden on Austin Rivers

    I thought it was already established last summer that they didn't actually have any personal issues with each other. There was talk about Paul wanting Austin to start over JJ because he felt they needed another ball handler in the starting lineup, and him possibly feeling that Doc didn't want to start Austin because it might limit his usage type of situation or just didn't agree.
