Saw the movie this past Saturday. Wife and I enjoyed it quiet a bit.

I only had some minor issues with the story, some of which is fairly formulaic, and I wished they'd used Black Manta as the primary villain but that being said, it's a lot of fun.

Visuals are really impressive, action sequences are really well done and first and foremost it's a lot of fun.

Momoa is really strong in the lead, helps that he doesn't take himself overly serious. Supporting cast is really strong, I really like Amber Heard as Mera.

I think its one the DCEU better movies, just a tad under Wonder Woman......

Man if this one of the better DCEU movies then this really makes me appreciate Marvel. The movie was ok for me mainly because the writing was just so blah and they just try to overwhelm you with CGI. I thought Momoa was really good and he was the only character with some depth to him. I thought better writing could have used what he brought to the table even better. I mean it was a fun movie but it super formulaic and I didn’t really develop any kind of connection to the characters since they were all very one dimensional, overdramatic, and direct except for Momoa’s Aquaman. It almost felt like a B movie covered up with really good CGI action.

Amber Heard was hot as **** in the movie though.

I’d compare it to the first Thor and Captain America which for DC seems to be a step in the right direction.

The first Captain and Thor were pretty bad, but that actually is a positive for DC. Damn, thats sad to say......

this movie really isn’t all that good if u compare it to Marvel, but for DC, it’s probably their 2nd best movie behind Wonder Woman

It’s probably better to compare it to the Phase I movies? I think it falls in that category of quality.

It was pretty entertaining but definitely not as good as a Marvel movie and definitely not as good as the Spiderverse movie.

Coming off of watching AntMan, and Black Panther? Two absolute turds?

I thought Ant Man and the Wasp was a fun movie. Black Panther was just boring but didn't have cringe worthy moments like Aquaman did and it did have developed characters with good acting. Neither was close to a B movie like Aquaman was.

I quite enjoyed it, more than I thought I would. Possibly more than Wonder Woman even.

Solid DCEU film and you can't say that often imo

She's hot but her face isn't expressive enough for me. She looks the same no matter what. As an actress that's why she isn't very good.

she's looking at nothing but blue walls for context and tennis balls for fellow actors to play off of.
