Peter Vecsey has ZERO current connections in the NBA.

Decades ago he was seen as the National Enquirer of basketball, but he did have connections.

Look at it this way, the last time Vecsey was right on a big basketball story was 26 years ago when he broke that the Blazers were going to move Drexler and it would be to either Houston or New York.

Would have been better off holding onto Melton and dumping two first rounders to move Anderson. It is going to cost us two first rounders to move Knight anyway.... also being stubborn and holding out hoping someone will take one first rounder is sabotaging the season.

If we basically traded Ryan Anderson with another Ryan Anderson that nobody wants, we did a very bad trade. I think it would've been better to just keep our Ryan Anderson without losing the best rookie we drafted in the last four years if that's the case. Melton was a perfect fit here and exactly what we would've used to keep Paul minutes lower.

I remember you said a couple of times MDA pushed to move Ryan this summer, and i understand why but, eh, if moving Knight will cost us as much as moving Anderson, i feel like we're not going to move him, and if we do, that trade with Phoenix would end up being a horrible trade. A coach should never dictate this kind of moves, in fact i would love to know if MDA was pushing hard with Les to get his stretch 4 two years ago, wouldn't be shocked at all if this is correct, pretty sure Morey would've never give a similar contract to Ryan Anderson if it was all up to him.

 

I bet anyone on the bench will put up better numbers than CP3 this entire week. I also bet that anyone in the Clippers trade will also.

What Beverly, who's been horrible. Montrez who I wish we coulda kept, but you want him in the playoffs over CP....cmon now, CP has much bigger impact than him. And Lou Williams who was never good for us when he got here, not to mention he was terrible in the playoffs when he played here. Oh wait....you musta meant Dekker...is that right?

 

Sorry about that. I became very concerned after Vecsey's report. I didn't say CP was going to be out for the rest of the season, though. I expressed my opinion that it seems he wouldn't be able to play. That was due to apprehension. Vescey was wrong, It is Grade 2. I will be more careful.

The argument could be maybe to have kept Lou and Trade Gordon( i would disagree but i would understand) but keeping Lou instead of CP is/was not a good idea.

 

No problem. Apprehension has afflicted us all, with depression close behind, at least for me. I usually try to be optimistic about the Rockets. Heck, I usually don't have to try, but this one is tough. A major bummer. A bummer beyond belief and the timing is past awful into some other realm. The only thing that could be worse would be having our main guy afflicted with the "i" word. Bad juju going around and I don't like it, not one bit.

I'm still pissed about the injury to CP3. The jokes some were making about it drove me round the bend. I just don't see the humor in such a disaster. It's like making jokes on the deck of the Titanic after you figure out the ship's going down, along with you and all the other guys that didn't dress up as women in order to sneak onto the life boats. One goofus called me a "joke Nazi." I'm not a joke Nazi. I'm not even German. Not remotely, although I like Germans, the ones I have met over the years. Good people. I like jokes... when they are funny. If they're going to crack jokes about key players getting injured, they need to up their game, in my opinion.
