Former rapper Mase is broadcasting as a preacher on the show "Praise the Lord" right now!!!! As the world's biggest Mase fan, I am totally freaking out right now!!!!!
It's one of those church channels. I don't know if its national or local. This is totally surreal. I can't stop watching this.
TBN? I saw Quincy Carter on there a couple weeks ago sharing how he is a strong christian and everything, gave me a great deal of respect for the kid.
It's just weird to see this transformation up close and personal. I was a HUGE Mase fan, and I still love his music to this day. But when I see him preaching "the word" it just makes me wonder whether he was really happy when he was a rapper or whether it was all a put-on and he was miserable with the money, women and fame. I've never seen anyone undergo such a transformation so suddenly. Almost cult-like, if you ask me (no offense intended)
Oh, gotcha. I never liked Mase as a rapper and thought he was a slurred-speech slobberin' nitwit... but... I think he's got a lot of guts to do what he did and I can respect him as a person to turning the page on his life. I've heard him take a couple of calls in Dallas about God and it was painful to listen to. But hey, more power to him - I hope he's found what he wants to do in life.
this shouldn't surprise anyone...Jesus is all about sinners..the rich and the poor...all nations and races... this is not atypcial, at all. my business partner started a business that eventually went public and made him very wealthy. he said he went out one night to celebrate his new found fortune...he had reached his financial goal...and looked in the mirror the next morning and knew all that money wasn't worth crap..that he was missing a relationship with the God that had pursued him his whole life. he became an entirely different person because of that relationship. i see this kind of stuff all the time.
