Shut it down and focus on retooling in the summer of 2019. We're not winning a championship, therefore this season will go in the dumpster.

I mean...he already got paid. The damage is done. Doesn’t matter whether he hangs it up or not.

And of course not that it really matters, the organization tend to put role players like Dmo thru vigorous evaluation but give stars a free pass.

    Call about John Wall.

That's 21 points and 9 assists per game.

Sit Chris Paul's old a** down until the playoffs. He can come off the bench for 24 minutes a game.

    Get Harden some real help.

We need to find a sucker to take him in a trade this off-season. Hopefully he looks good in the playoffs without getting injured when the Warriors or Lakers beat us.

    1) Morey hasn't won a trade in a long time, so I can't expect his washed ass to do much about it
    2) Anyone banking on this quickly aging glass-man for the long term needs to be questioned
    3) Find some way to build trade value when he comes back if you don't somehow trade him by then for ANYTHING remotely acceptable
    4) Harden should request a trade at some point, and I won't blame him

How else were we going to get another star? In case people haven't noticed, stars aren't banging on the door to come to Houston and play with Harden. It's just not happening. CP3 wouldn't even take a salary cut to help out after already being here. Melo finally showed up after he was old and washed up. LeBron, PG, and KD could have come over and didn't. AD is looking to move but we aren't on his list. Jimmy Butler didn't really care enough to push his way into Houston.

I'm not blaming Harden or Morey for any of that either. It's just how it is. Either grow your own superstar or take on a star who has problems of some sort- if you can attract them.
