After looking at that list of the top 50, it's a tough call. I think it may be time to start talking top 75, because that is one hellacious list of basketball players. I could conceivably put Reggie in over Quitten or maybe Tiny Archibald. I can't find anybody else except Arizen (who I never heard of but it's hard to drop him after reading his bio) to drop, and I have to add Alex English, who I consider very slightly better than Dominique, to this discussion. The list of players who can be discussed as top 50 that aren't there include: Adrian Dantley, Connie Hawkins, Spencer Haywood, Bob Lanier, Bob McAdoo, Chet Walker, Dennis Johnson, and the above-mentioned English and Dominique. Reggie is right there with any of these guys. But you add even a few of the other great players of today who hadn't quite been in the league long enough to be in the top 50 at that time (Garnett, Duncan, Payton, McGrady, Kobe, etc.), and you have a real problem. How can you knock any of the other names off that list??? Let's talk top 75, and Reggie is in solidly. Make him top 50 and it won't be long before you knock him out with Garnett or Duncan, at least, even if you can put him in ahead of English or Nique.
