    PTI:Yao Ming

Not much info on Yao in PTI today.

Tony Kornheiser: Yao had 37pts last night, and 20+ the last couple of games. Has he finally become dominating?

    Mike Wilbon:NO! Key word...Stick Figure!

Tony Kornheiser: Is he in the same league as Shaq?

Mike Wilbon:No. Don't even mention him with Shaq.

......Then they mentioned his stats etc.

They both didn't appear to think much of Yao's game yesterday.

There wasn't much on this. Pretty pathetic conversation on Yao.

Kornheiser pretty much backed away from last years claim he made about Yao being weak and a stick figure. Now he says that Yao's a good improving player but is not dominant.

Wilbon spent the whole time trying to make him apologize and eat his words last season. Kornheiser didn't budge. The end.

Someone should send the memo to Andrew Decleurq that Yao is not dominant. Ditto to Mutombo.

Duh. I think the answer is "YES! And it's called the NBA. In fact he's even in the same conference known as the 'WEST.' "

You ve got it backwards Uprising....

Kornheiser is the one that called Yao a "stick figure that would foul out of every game." Wilbon was taking tony to task on it...

On being in the same league with Shaq, it was Kornheiser that said no. Korney said that he is no where near as dominant as Shaq, KG, or Duncan...Wilbon said that you cant compare Yao with 32 year-olds that have been in the league for years, but he spoke to the fact that as a 23 year old he is very far along...

Wilbon is as outspoken Yao supporter...Kornheiser is critical of Yao because, like Barkley that was his initial prognosis...

Thanks. For some reason I remembed Kornheiser (last year) always asking Wilbon, "How's your boy Yao doing?" Trash talking and all...

It went back and forth for a while, until Yao hit a wall. This time they are both keeping an eye out. I guess they don't want to embellish Yao quite yet. They don't know if he can sustain it.

The funny thing about the show is that sometimes the topics they come up with are soooo one sided, or rather, there's not enough "dirt" or "trash talking" that can be done on the other side because the player is just tooo damn good. Not much to debate and they agree.

As time goes on, both of them wont be able to ignore Yao's production. Of course, for the spirt of the show, one of the will try to put a negative spin on Yao's dominance. I repeat, he will, try. :)
