Yea, and if you need some uh, websites to distract you for awhile, I can, uh direct you to some that I've, uh, heard about. I don't know what kind of endurance you've got, but it'll at least distract you for at least 30 minutes. That includes the 29 min 30 sec nap afterwards, of course! '
PWN3D!!! But seriously, Pole. I wouldn't worry about it, because it's not under your control. Worrying won't do anything. Just relax, and wait for word. I'm sure you will be hearing something soon.
Aren't Newark and Paterson in New Jersey? Hell, I bet Houston could make the largest 10 cities in the world...just include Hempstead, Conroe, Brenham, the Galveston Bay area, and Austin...
This is actually a list of the largest principal agglomerations in the world, not city limits. And no, Houston would not be anywhere close to the top 10...unless you also include Dallas, in addition to what you mentioned before...
Pole, I think everything is okay and like others have said there is nothing to worry about. I have a couple of questions, though (for anyone in general to answer them): 1) When has Bombay become known as Mumbai? Is that only in India or is it known as Mumbai all over the world now? 2) Why are they like so many hours and thirty minutes behind us instead of so many hours?
Thanks....but I was just talking about the city proper http://www.infoplease.com/ipa/A0762524.html Rank City1 Population 1. Mumbai (Bombay), India 12,383,100 2. Buenos Aires, Argentina 12,116,400 3. Then I guess it depends on what list you use... One World - Nations Online Cities of the World ___The most populated cities in the world The world's most populated cities ranked by urban population of inhabitants within the city proper or the metropolitan area(*). The ranking is relative because of the different latest available data of a city population. Note: The city links will lead you to the official city site or the official municipality government site, otherwise to informational pages related to a city. Thanks for keeping me occupied.....your data (at least for Mumbai) comes from a Census that is 13 years old.
Here is something else to keep you occupied: http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/Forum27/HTML/000019.html "Oddly, I don't mind the middle of the night timings in Bombay. I think the arrival at midnight isn't great -- usually means you get to your destination at 2 or so which is late for sure." Seems to indicate the airport is pretty far from most of the hotels. And that is from a seasoned traveler (this site is for very frequent international travelers). So I could imagine that someone who just arrives in an international airport for the first time should need some more time. So don't worry too much, I hope it will all be fine .
Here is one more to allay your fears: http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/Forum27/HTML/000032.html "Oberio is way on the other end of the city (Churchgate area) JW MArriott is in Juhu, by the beach, close by the airport. " That guy means Oberoi. The hotel is at the other end of the city. It SHOULD take time to get there.
She just called.....she made it to her hotel, and she's fine. She said her driver didn't show up, but that there was some lady from Germany there who had a car and was going to the same hotel. She was able to ride with this lady. Their car had a flat on the way in, so they stood by the side of the road while it was being changed. She said that people were asleep on the grould all around and she saw rats the size of our dog. I told her that this was just a small slice of India. Anyway, she's safe and we're both relieved. Thanks for allaying my fears for a while.
Yes, that's India, for those who haven't seen some of the more unpleasant aspects of it. A wonderful country, but far from being what could be and hopefully will be someday. Great news, Pole!
I think he died like over 50 years ago or so.......but his winery lives on. They make some awesome Rieslings. I'm a BIG red wine drinker, but strangely, one of my favorite whites is Riesling....especially German Rieslings, and Joh. Jos. Prüm makes some of the best. Pick some up if you can; some of them can be a bit pricey, but good wine is worth it.
I was just shocked because Prüm is the city I grew up in. It is very small...6,000 inhabitants, so suddenly seeing the name on this message board was rather surprising . That winery is also close to where I grew up (the guy's ancestors must be from there).
