id welcome him at this point. i also just want to add, its really a shame the way JR gets the blame for that cavs game 1 loss in the finals. just because he didnt jack up a shot at that moment that probably would not have gone in anyway. because of that no one mentions the despicable officiating down the stretch in that game that screwed cavs far worse than the JR. its almost like the poor officiating the rockets got in game 7 last year. but because we missed a bunch of threes, i guess that means you dont deserve to get correct calls.

its important to use knight's salary to add a high priced (hopefully not overpaid) player. if we just dump it for tax savings we will only be able to add MLE players. so option 1 is to acquire JR who is basically NG which provides a more tradable asset at the deadline. he may or may not ever play for us. if we can't trade him for anything good at the deadline we waive him and get under the tax. if we lotto protect the pick needed to acquire him its a win win.
