Give the poor jerk a break. He has to watch the Heat night in and night out. Obviously he's not gonna be the mentally healthiest guy out there.

"*******" isn't blocked out by asterisks? Cool, I didn't know that.

My main problem with the article is that you would get flunked if you turned this in as an article in high school. Come on, taking quotes completely out of context, not having a clue about the overall situation, and drawing the wrong conclusion.

THIS IS PROFESSIONAL JOURNALISM? Give me a F#)(*#ng break.

he threw in yesterdays game stats to make is seem like it was up to date. and then throws in yaos fg% from 3 days ago at 531 putting yao 4th in the league in fg%, however, with last nights games, yao is now 537 from the field and now only trails shaq for league leading fg%

"Take an incident earlier this season, when Wizards 7-footer Brendan Haywood, considered one of the softest big men in the league, slammed Yao to the court.

``He was just trying to protect the basket,'' was Yao's response."

i think you got the blind mans version, surely if you actually watched him play, his repsonse has been the best basketball of his young career.

Who cares what Ira Winderman wrote. After Yao punishes the weak Miami front court and records yet another double double he'll be eating his words

francis is right behind lebron in all three of those bad stats! Witch! burn him!

but aside from stats, steve has changed his game for the better of the team, im glad his actions are finally beginning to follow his words.

As good as Sir James number goes, it cannot compare the value of a good center. Especially defense is part of the winning formula this day, you need a good center in order to have defense affective. There is a big piece of stats that is missing on the score card in every game. How many shots were altered, how many misses due to the present of the center, how many intimidations to cause opponents to miss layup. Yesterday game is a good example, Magic has no inside game yesterday, there is hardly any point score inside the paint. If not for T-Mac good perimeter shooting, Yao would have hit the shower before the 4th quarter.

Ira Winderman should coach the Heat.

Then maybe they'd play Yao one-on-one and see how many times he settles for the 20 foot jumper.

someone needs to send this to yao's bbs and translate so he can read it and make the doubters look like idiots again. orlando is a believer now and miami will be after tonight. when yao goes off tonight we need to flood this guys email for writing terrible biased articles.

    Miami about to get smacked...

    http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/sfl-yao26jan26,0,274654.story?coll=sfla-sports-headlines

Its one thing when Rox fans have an inner-family feud about whether Stevie or Yao is the real franchise player on this team, but when an opponent starts talkin smack like this:

"Last season's Next Great Thing now looks like the next very good thing, a player, who, at 23, certainly will have an influence for years to come, but one who most likely never will tread in the same pantheon as Wilt, Russell or Kareem."

    ...it gets personal.

Here's to hoping Yao drops 40 and snags 25 on that writer's beloved chumps tonight.
