Well i just wanted to do a small thread for people that enjoy Madagascar. All I'm looking for is for people to say a good word or two about my other favorite country..
Funny, I always reference Madagascar in my act as an obscure place when it applies. Hard to explain, you gotta see it.
Cool facts: Almost half the population (45%) is 14 or under and the average age of the population is 17.4yrs. 63.9% of their power is hydro generated.
Madagascar is also the title to a great new song by Guns N' Roses, which will be on their long-awaited album, Chinese Democracy, due out some time this year.

An incredible place that is seeing it's feast of rare species and plants, many, no doubt, yet to be discovered, obliterated by over-population and indiscriminate clear cutting. Damn shame. Maybe you can work to slow that down or finally bring it to a halt. I'm not trying to pick on the country, by the way. We have our own problems here. It's sad, though, what is happening to so much of the under-developed world. At least in the States, we've either already obliderated much of our natural habitat and, despite the current Administration's ardent attempt to destroy what is left in the name of profit for it's contributors, there are many laws and programs in place to try and save what is left.
