That's why it would be a mistake to attempt to censor content rather than just preventing personal attacks in a situation like the D&D. The more subjective you make things, the more room for abuse you allow.

I meant internet content moderators in general, not Clutchfans in particular

Also not taking away from JV, but I agree 100% re: Os and have also suggested Durvasa. (I am not as familiar with the others' posts but trust Deckard's views on this.)

To Mods: Here's a visual example of disrespect that should be OK during debates.

That's not very nice, but everyone laughs, and the victim can't really complain.

We've talked **** about Catholicism, Islam, Evangelism, Judaism, Mormonism (not sure about the Buddhists and Hindus and Shintos, but why not?)

    Never been a problem

This is just a weird thing to bring up as if it's a constant issue, but sure, never been a problem

"Thought crimes"? Really? And who are these "most moderators"?

I stoped by here to see comment about the passing of GHW Bush but see I’ve been mentioned a few times.
Thank you for nominating me as a meditator but I don’t want to be one and would be a terrible one. Biggest thing is I don’t have the time to do it and to be a moderator would be a significant input of time to do it right and half assing it would just make things worse. Also as someone who does like argument and debate I wouldn’t feel it fair to be both an active debater while also holding the power to censor that debate.

I am against anyone who thinks @Nook's post in the Mueller thread about @cml750's religious beliefs was actionable.

Just saying that if a person believes Nook's post about cml750's beliefs being less than objectionable is worthy of a moderator taking action, then I wouldn't support that person as a moderator.

I could be wrong, but I haven't seen anyone indicate that moderator action was necessary. I was kind of hoping that our own improved behavior was removing the need for one.
