Bet a bunch of fatties liked this post because they feel like they are somehow related to an MVP caliber baller. Pathetic.
Harden started off this season as bad as I've ever seen him defensively, but after about 5 games, he's been legitimately good to even great. Good to see.
The genius of our defensive scheme is that it is aimed to both nullify GSW offense and maximize Harden’s strengths at the same time. I’m glad we stuck with it through the tumultuous start.
True, Harden literally goes and takes a break on the bench during defensive possessions. If there is an open seat court side he will go to that if its closer than his bench.
And Chris Paul is #2 with 2.36 steals. Almost 5 steals each game between CP3 and Harden...potentially an additional 10-15 pts per game.
He gets steals cause he'd rather gamble than play straight up, which means 85% of the time he gets out of position and gets beat... Love harden but let's be real...
Past years, I would agree. This year, I would not. He still takes gambles, but rarely has it compromised his overall defense this season.
He might not be a great defender but he has improved leaps and bounds in that department where he can’t be labeled terrible or bad anymore
