As a 2nd round pick he got 20 minutes a game on a contender in his second season. Somehow the coach gets blamed because two years later he's playing really well. SMH
Rockets developed Montrezl. Doc is doing well with the Clippers, but he didn't have to work with Montrezl. Rockets did all the work.
I think he would be very good here, his pick & roll was already solid for a second year/rookie, plus the team we have now plays so much better in terms of defense and energy than the one we had two years ago...i think Trez would be just perfect in the second unit next to PJ and/or Clark, really sucks we had to move him in that trade, he also just signed a pretty cheap contract...now we could have Capela and him locked on 22/24M for 3 years
harrell is not a player worth changing your whole offense for. Harrell was never a natural fit for mike dantoni's offense. can't shoot well enough to be a 4, can't pick and roll well enough to be a 5. he works better in doc's offense. He would never fit under dantoni's vision of pg's and shooters. that's fine and doesn't say anything negative about dantoni, dantoni runs some of the greatest offenses in nba history.
Bucks have some pretty ugly throw backs. I wonder if the Rockets had the old pajama jerseys (with some tweeks to the design) as a throwback would the fans embrace it.
nuggets lost and thunder might im still mainly just hoping the warriors continue to lose. the clippers, grizzlies and blazers don't scare me at all lol pelicans are worrisome though.
I disagree. Montrezl would be good in the offense since he is so good in the PnR and his finishing ability. My worry would be his defense, rebounding, and rim protection. He would have been counted on to do a lot on defense as the back up to Clint. Montrezl is relentless on offense but doesn't show that same consistent restlessness on defense..
I think he needs to hold the ball a little longer on offense. I don't think he's the type of guy to just catch and finish like capela. I remember seeing him play with the rockets and he always needed a moment to regather his rhythm before making his move. I don't like the fit
The West is cannibalizing itself.. everyone is still so packed together. Rockets still 2 games behind first place in the loss column. Plus the Rockets had the hardest schedule to begin the season.
Yo, shout out to Kemba Walker and Eric Bledsoe, two underrated guards in the East, dudes are killing hit.
THANK GOODNESS RUSS IS BACK! That means OKC will struggle a little. Thunder were on a roll without Russ in the lineup.
we'll have to agree to disagree. he needs to regather his rhythm before making his move. he demands more touches. he's a smaller guy, he's not tyson chandler, clint capela, or that type of guy who doesn't ever need to touch it. In these highlights, he is initiating half of the offense. Half the time he is creating offense from the perimeter. He's better off reaching his potential by himself than letting harden/paul dominate the ball in a pg heavy dantoni offense. He's nowhere near the paint at 1:17.
All I'm saying is I was praying for Russ to get back.. Thunder were winning too much.. Russ is very good, but you're going to get that infusion of elite knucklehead they weren't getting without him. Errant passes, dumb threes, lazy defense, dumb turnovers.. welcome back Russ!!
