OK, after looking in the original thread and seeing that pretty much everybody agreed that thadeus pushed us over the top of the first $1000.00 and people were still donating afterwards I thought I would start Part II. Here are the donations I saw that occured after thadeus' donation: $5.50 from Lil Pun $40.00 from Pipe $20.32 from Kam $10.00 from Woofer for a total so far of $75.82. If you made a donation and I missed it be sure to say something. I'll toss in another $10.18 today to push us to an even $86. We reached our $1000.00 goal in 73 days last time let's see if we can best that mark. LET"S GO!!!
Well, let's make this (instead of Hangout II) the Official Bickering D&D Fundraiser, or maybe even the Official ****-on-the-Rockets (GARM) Fundraiser. But keep this thread in herrrrre.
I'll put up $50 when I get my first paycheck. That way I dont have this evil Senior Member crap under my handle.
I could only afford $10 this time, but... (straps on knee-pads) ...I'm happy to contribute to the best message board on the Internet.
Herrrrrrrrrrrrrrre's an idea; for those who contribute more than once, why not giving them more than 'Contributing Member'. I noticed that Member, Senior Member, et cetera, are in that awkward Columbia blue (when's the new colors goinna show up, btw? ). Similarly to ebay, how about having 'ranks' for those who contribute. I don't mean it to be based on monetary values, but perhaps for those who do contribute multiple times they could have a slightly different color as recognition. Mainly because while having a better title such as Contributing Member, I personally don't notice it that much and having it a bright red or something would highlight it and therefore might incline others to contribute. Or maybe just a different color altogether for those who contribute. Yes, I have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time on my hands right now.
Where have you been? Before Yao was drafted, this BBS had about 3600 members. I'm pretty sure that's about right. As I post this, the number stands at, let's see, 15,476. Most of them are lurkers, but they are an incredible increase in traffic whether they post or not. Clutch has had to get a new server, and god knows do what else, to keep this place going and not crash into a million little "bits". He also has a wife and kids, a full time job, and the other stuff going on that you and normal, or semi-normal people do. You know, life. So anything we're able to do is, without a doubt, a fraction of what he's put into this site. That's if you don't place a value on his time, which is priceless. (man, I should sell used cars or something... geez)
