He could be the best offensive player if he had a midrange game. For now the refs dictate how he plays, no calls then he won't drive.
Unlike Altuve our other MVP who is a great bad pitch hitter. Harden takes more bad shots then Altuve swings and misses at bad pitches(maybe not last year). But it’s needed when every single one of our other guys is missing their shots. We embrace it when he makes those crazy contested 3’s. I know after that 35 footer he through up against the pacers I was like noooo...I know it was a heat check but that’s the time to drive. He needs to realize when to chunk and when to drive and kick it or get fouled by throwing his body into the defender on the drive. He did it perfect last year and this year well we all know the struggles.
The offense last year was just as predictable. I mean, we all knew, fans, coaches, players, where exactly Harden and CP3 were going. We knew exactly what Capela was going to do. We knew where Ariza, Luc we're going to be on the perimeter. Last year, teams couldn't stop it, it was a pick-your-poison type situation and more times than not, opposing teams had no answer. This year, players are struggling to shoot, don't understand where they need to be, or aren't used to the system.
