Great job acquiring Melo and giving Chris all that money. LOL @ Anthony not lasting one month before drama happening.
Maybe because D’Antoni is the one leaking it..payback is a b**** Melo . You drove me out of NY now I will drive you out of the league!
MDA isn't a great fan of Melo, he reluctantly accepted Melo. Otherwise he would have backed him up no matter what like Thibs did with Jimmy. Morey was the fan of the 3rd star, that is exactly why he brought him on the team. D'Antoni's passive character did not help either to communicate what he really wanted. At the start of the season both probably thought Melo would at least help out.
that's what ESPN is reporting http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/25251730/carmelo-anthony-teammates-believe-return-houston-rockets
All the hatred for any player coming here with a Championship goal in his heart, plenty of experience, and a want to be a part of this team really bothers me. It is the toxic, hurtful words that do nothing but bring people down. Sometimes I wonder if a huge amount of so called ClutchFans are nothing but trolls coming in here to stir up hate and discontent among fans and players with hurtful player bashing. I wish people could just embrace players more and quit being so hateful. I get embarrassed for those being hated on by our own so called fans. Maybe nobody else feels that way, who knows, but the hate threads have always bothered me. I wish our fan site didn't have hate threads.
He is publicly questioning the coaching staff's choice of strategy. That's not a media discussion. That's a team discussion. James Harden can do that and it would be tolerated. A role player can't do something like that until they demonstrate that they are doing their part to make this strategy work - i.e. play better defense and stop taking mid range shots. When you're the worst defender on the floor practically every night, you don't question the strategy. If Tucker had said this, we would take it seriously since he was and is an integral part of the defense. What Melo is unwittingly saying here is that we should change our defense because it doesn't suit him. Why on earth would we change the strategy to suit anything other than James Harden, Chris Paul and/or beating the Warriors? WE ARE the team that shocked the world by bringing the Warriors to their knees. It did not happen through having more talent, it happened with these guys giving more effort and sticking strictly to the plan that the coaching staff painstakingly devised. And it worked. Everyone else is doing more of what we did, why on earth would we go backwards? Why would he be talking to the media about this?? IMO it's not worth waiving him unless that's what he wants, but it certainly would rub me the wrong way if I were his teammate who believes in this strategy and is trying to stop the bleeding. The numbers show we are better when we switch. If there are people in the locker room not believing in the team goal, that's a problem.
I’m starting to get on board with the Nick Young movement. His defense actually improved a lot his last year with the Lakers. He was serviceable defensively last year as well. He can definitely shoot and has length. He probably gives you more than GG at this point. He was good enough to crack the GS rotation. Why the heck not?
This team is so mismanaged. And even though Morey came out and did the whole “unfair” to blame Melo, I think this is going to hurt our FO a little in terms of players thinking twice about coming here because of how the Media has basically planted this story. Sucks.
ANderson gets too much crap.. he played well for thand first half of the season and has always been a important key to our spread offense. He spaced the floor so well and attracted defenders to the 3 point line
All that time we spent wasting on Melo. We coulda signed Brook Lopez this summer for 3 million. He hit 8 threes yesterday.
