After following this team all my life and Morey the past decade I can translate this for you... No, Melo is not being a cancer. He’s been a good locker room vet. But everyone not named Harden and Chris Paul has made themselves expendable with this piss poor play. Melos role is obviously not going to be 3rd star 30ppg scorer like he still wants to be. Knowing that, the Rockets are probably going to let him jump on another team sooner rather than later, and use the roster spot to do some other roster maneuvering. I think the Rockets are okay with him leaving as long as he goes to the East and he takes a full pay cut vs what he’s making wherever he goes. Morey is likely about to start looking at some deep cut trades. Wouldn’t be shocked it Eric Gordon is gone by year end.
lol Melo sucks. Melo a cancer. Melo brings teams down. Melo is washed. We holding him on the roster to trade him later.
aside from Morey's excel spreadsheets and vintage abacus, Morey has a hard on for talent. Old talent, perceived talent, emerging talent, 1st round talent, washed talent. He will buck all science for talent. I think he sees some talent as something that can't be measured so he tries to get it no matter the math. Morey has a lot of these headscratchers in his career that he hopes will just break out. remember Morey's obsession with the 2009 draft?
I just hope it's not one of those situations where you can't dump/bench a scrub cause his friend would get pissed...i don't have problems if players are involved in decisons over the roster etc...but obviously there has to be a limit.
not as bad as 15/16 though, when we were literally getting blown out by 30 at home to the nets who were like worst in the league at the time
Yea, I've heard this. Tbh, I believed it too when we signed him. I thought him an old being a super star would make him some super role player like we needed(on offense he's been decent) and I dont want to blame him fully cause its not all his fault(its really not). But if he's gonna cause friction then we got no choice. Gosh, its gonna be such an issue if Paul is the one keeping this alive. Ive heard Stephen A say that Lebron and Melo were close but that was nothing compared to CP3 and Melo's relationship.
Thanks Nook. I guess I don’t understand Tilman’s reasoning for doing so. We don’t really need Media addresses from Morey right now. Keep evaluating options behind the scenes, make the right move if there’s one to be made and then announce something once there’s a roster update. I guess I just don’t get it...
Then issue of our losing is not Melo. This team has 100 problems and how to play Melo is only one of them.
about the same. prob b/c expectations were much higher for this season and harden is already 29 now. also back then it was obvious mchale & dwight were the problems. and right now not much of anything is clear
We should single out Morey, he signed all these DNPCD’s! Especially Melo, you knew what you were getting and still he was this big signing..
