If you can't get a star for 4 f-ckin first round picks. what else is there? look what Boston did with picks. First round picks is everything in the NBA and still the NBA wouldn't take it from the Rockets. It's time to start playing dumb. The NBA does not want our money.

Beal will be even harder to get than Butler...25 yo, and has 3 years left on his deal many teams will be after him...Rockets will strike out
Saric is poor mans Luka Doncic or rich mans Toni Kukoc. Very talented player who can handle, pass, score and run an offense at 6'10" Didnt have that opportunity on the Sixers because of Simmons
Keeping our picks is much less exciting when you consider Morey's main weakness is probably the draft. He's a great GM but his drafting has been mediocre
@Codman mentioned the Rockets would try to get "pieces" in a Butler deal if they didn't get Butler. Looks like that didn't materialize. Onto something else.
Morey should’ve attached Gordon to those picks instead of garbage like Knight who hasn’t played in over a year and is still owed 30 mil for what would be a 3rd gaurd for them and Chriss who needs to start learning some Chinese... Gordon should’ve been given up without hesitation
If Morey can turn any combination of our shitty bench into a shooter like Korver I'm happy. We need guys that shoot, be healthy, play defense, or be a combination of the three. Too many deadweights on the bench
Butler wasnt getting us over the warriors even we lost those two, and LOL you totally love saying I told you so, nothing youve said has been right.
I would’ve taken the scenario of losing both Gordon and Tucker over not acquiring Butler move forward with a core of Harden, Butler, CP3, and Capela and try to rebuild another championship contender around that this squad we have right now isn’t gonna do a damn thing, and role player acquisitions aren’t extending this window which looks like it closed after game 7 anyways *sigh*
Eh...not a great comparison. Boston was beginning to tank and was trading stars for picks, then took advantage of arguably the worst trade in NBA history. The Rockets, on the other hand, are looking to trade (likely) bad picks for stars. Also...Thibs wasn't looking for picks. He wanted players. Saric and Covington is far better than just Eric Gordon. I'm not saying it's what he should have done, just what he was looking for. If another star is disgruntled and demands a trade, I can see the Rockets offer looking more appealing to more rational GM's, but with Thibs, it wasn't going to happen.
I thought Gordon was included. But in any event 4 FIRST ROUND PICKS is why you attach trash to it.. it's 4 FIRST ROUND PICKS!! It's like attaching a half eaten hot dog to a $500,000 dollar lottery ticket.
