They have a stat on average pass traveled. Mahomes is one of the lowest in the league, and leads the league in yards. That’s scheme related. If you are denying that, then you are completely full of it. Reid’s system features a multitude of short passing and screens.

Mitch Trubisky is throwing for good yardage in the same system and he is not a good QB.

Brady is 60 years old lol.

And last time I checked he beat mahomes head to head this year which is all that matters.

Kelcey has been a lot better than gronk this year who’s also missed a lot of time. The pats are using a WR at RB not the rookie rushing Champ that KC has.

Brady still at this old age elevates cast offs to super bowls every year.

You shouldn’t compare mahomes and Brady at all.

One guy has 5 Super Bowls and been there 8 times. The other guy has 8 starts.

And I’m not a Lamar miller hater like most he’s an okay back but Kareem hunt is much better than miller.

You should also factor in that with these same weapons Alex Smith put up his only 4K season and had the most TDs of his career by a long shot. He also has his highest QB rating by a wide margin at 104.5.

Now look at Alex smith this year. 1500 yards and 8 tds through 7 games.

There is no denying that the skill position players and coaching in KC is inflating stats at QB. We have proof of this.

Mahomes is good he’s not great, nobody is great after 8 starts no matter how good those 8 starts are.

Ppl need to pump the breaks on the kid and let him play this season and next and we all will have our answer one way or another.

Funny, it's pump the brakes with Mahomes cheer but call Deshaun the Great after a few games. I like Deshaun, but these remarks are a bit biased. Lets see how he does the rest of this year if a few games mean nothing. Don't understand all the negative comments.

Iv stated plenty of times that ppl needed to pump the breaks on Watson.

I think Watson now has proven that he’s going to be a really good player. Ppl around here were in panic mode after his slow start. I thought he looked fine being in his 2nd year with Other D coordinators having tape on him. Him playing at the level his did the year before was unsustainable. Just like I think that what mahomes is doing is unsustainable.

I don’t think Mahomes is not going to prevail I just don’t understand how anyone could think this could be the norm.

I mean he’s literally pre determined we’re hes going with the ball pre snap. There running a really simplistic offense for him. Now his improvising skills are special just like Watson but the pre snap stuff is what the Texans did with Watson last year. Now fast forward a year and with more tape on Watson the other teams found out how to make him think a little more and it made his decisions a split slower resulting and decreased play. That will happen to mahomes it happens to every great QB mahomes won’t be the exception.

The Deshaun the Great is a call back to the "VY the Great" thread from the Vince Young days when the Texans drafted Mario Williams instead of VY and many, many people freaked out. It was a most entertaining thread.

We shall see I guess. We obviously don't agree on it, so no sense continuing this discussion.

I think you think that i believe mahomes is not good. Or not a great prospect moving forward.

If I’m wrong I apologize it’s just debate my friend.

I just don’t buy into the hype that is starting to come out on nfl network and Kansas City nation that are saying they thought he was a generational prospect and the best one of the last 20 years.

These so called anonymous scouts coming out saying they knew this was coming. I hate that stuff it’s complete BS.

Nobody saw this coming just like Watson last year that’s why they weren’t even in consideration for the top pick (stupid by the way both should have went 1 and 2 in any order with Mitch at 3 he’s solid just not Watson and mahomes)

I like mahomes I wanted him in Houston cause I didn’t think we had any chance at Watson but I didn’t know we were going to move up either.

My mom and aunts all went to tech they love the kid. I’ve watched him in college he’s was great but everyone looks good In coach Kingsbury offense.

Mahomes and Watson along with wentz are the next Manning, Rodgers, Brady of the nfl. There studs there all going to win chips and MVPs imo.

Fair enough. Honestly, I think it's just a guess how either will progress. I hope they both end up being exciting quarterbacks to watch in the future.

I don’t even think it’s debatable their both so freakin good already.

Mahomes will struggle soon I’m sure, but he’s got great coaching and players around him that it won’t take him as long as it took Watson to kind of snap out of if.

And when I say struggle I mean 300 yard 2td and a TO or two, he’ll still be effective.

Just like Watson was effective early in the season with stats. I mean ppl were wondering what was wrong with Watson and I admit he looked sloppy but he was still putting up 300+ yards and 2tds he just was turning the ball over way to much be it fumbles or ints.

These dudes are studs they’ll both be the face of the league and position with Wentz in the next 2-3 years. Maybe sooner

Some people say he holds onto the ball too long. But maybe the receivers just aren't doing a good job of getting open. Maybe at times the offensive line isn't protecting long enough. Also, Watson does have the ability to extend plays with his legs. So, I can understand why he doesn't throw the ball away as quickly as some QB's.

While I'm happy that Watson is getting better at not giving up turnovers, credit to our sht coach for playing uber "safe". Without his sht playcalling of run plays on first downs that only consists of running it down the middle, this streak would have never had happen. Oh and we on a six game win streak.

Mahomes just broke more records today. With 6 games left he's gonna break some more. Crazy that he already has over 3000 yards and 29 touchdowns.

I don't care about Watson in relation to Pat Mahomes. I only care about his improvement as a professional for the Texans and it is undeniably great. Until KC & HOU match up in the playoffs, all comparisons are irrelevant (and even then it's team v team not qb v qb). The ability Watson has shown to be uber effective in a recently more conservative approach to me speaks volumes as to his ability as a field general. Once he gets OL help, God (and Saban) only knows what he's capable of. For now, I will enjoy witnessing greatness.
