Yeah, that's usually how it is with low BB IQ.

Rockets best chance to get anything from Chriss is having him play WITH PJ Tucker. AND having Chriss play in second units so he is going against inferior players. Less chances for mistakes.

We saw glimpses of that in the Memphis games because he was in the second unit. But in the Pacers game, when he was playing with starters, he just got exposed.

It's all about whether or not he's coachable. The tools are there.

Whoever was responsible for that starting lineup on BSPN does not have a clue about the Rockets.

Do they even need him for the remaining 3 years other than him being a filler?!

this hint he is a bust and his trade value is zero.

I was thinking deal him/4 picks to Celtics for Tatum.

4 Firsts is attractive to Ainge.

GS exercise options for Jones. 30th pick is a better player than 8th pick. hard to explain.

So the Rockets decline Marquese Chriss 4th year option for luxury tax reasons.

Okay...but then why are the Rockets willing to trade for Jimmy Butler then resign him for Max or near Max money putting the Rockets in luxury tax hell???

Simple - Jimmy Buckets is worth it; Chriss is clearly not

They can resign Chriss to a minimum or lesser contract if he pans out, we already have his bird rights.
There’s no reason to have exponential repeater tax.

    Quote my words:
Luxury tax is like a ghost staying with Tilman, it just never goes away.
