I wonder if Morey saw this poor start coming after game 1, thus no big deal offering 4 1st rd picks.

This whole conversation coming from Wolves media is stupid. You don't do trades to "help other teams out" or "prevent other teams from being good".

You do trades if the value you get appears to be beneficial versus what you're letting go of.

When the Wolves consider 4 draft picks and the Rockets being good versus Butler walking for nothing.... they shouldn't have this same opinion. If they do, that's why they are a laughing stock.

Then there's the fact that nothing they really do with the Rockets should matter in the context of Golden State's dominance. That Wolves team is not beating Golden State with any acquisition.

Trading is microeconomics. It's not high school cliques. Logic should win over emotion.

Agreed. Especially when you're an organization like Minnesota that has little success in its history.

Part of me believes they're just attempting to copy the Spurs from the Kawhi deal. Theres a reason Minnesota didnt make the playoffs in 13 years.

At this point, I'd trade 4 first rounders for Harden and tank the season for Zion.

so stupid on their part lol. lets take less so the rockets won't be good. why do they care if we're good? we aren't a rival or a competitor of theirs. i can understand the warriors not wanting to trade klay to us, or the spurs, mavs, thunder, not wanting to trade a star to us... but really the wolves are just hurting themselves right now. totally clueless.

Well, he definitely knows we suck right now -- so I'd say it's safe to say, yeah.

I saw this coming. Thibbs isn't gonna trade JB somewhere where he'll flourish, especially to a team that beat them in the playoffs. Plus, why would he help us knowing we suck & need a trade right now. Gordon's doing everything he can to lower his trade value

well they probably feel like that would set the rockets up to be good for the next few years, and be another team to get in their way of success. they would rather deal him to the east, and hope like everyone else KD goes to NY. Cousins wont re-sign there most likely, so the warriors will be back to what they were before but now hitting their 30s. the west could be weakened next year. they have a better chance of success. the rockets are crumbling right now and getting butler could change that. they would rather see the rox fall to pieces and you cant blame them for that.

they are not tied to our success or failure in any way. they need to take the best offer. anything else is thibs/taylor not doing their job properly and kidding themselves about how good they are or will be in the near future.

i'm not even sure that trade is good for the rockets! i'm on the fence, but the wolves should take it and run.

If that is indeed anyway true, my oh my is the NBA full of b*tches.

"oh no, we might make another team better by trading this person, we won't do it. Our guys practicing for the Warriors game tomorrow night? Tell them to bend further over, I want them grabbing their own ankles when they're being bent over backwards"

Thibs is loving what JB is bringing on the floor. He'll keep making excuses and hope JB gets over it and enjoys them winning. He can tell him, "Hell JB, the Rockets suck we've got a better chance of doing something special here. Stay and we can build this around you!" C'mon DM make this happen by 5pm tomorrow, so we can all celebrate with a beverage or five!!

Not even a cheeseburger from Whataburger. Probably some In-N-Out trash.
