    from another thread:

"How early do you have to get to the place if you wanna secure some bobble heads?"

I am very very afraid of bobble-head mania. Philly had bobble-head mania. Right now 286 various booble-heads are on sale at EBay.

I've heard stories, but never witnessed the fury of Beanie-Baby collectors. Heard how a co-worker stopped at every McDonald's between New Orleans and Houston trying to complete a set. Heard co-workers refer to Beanie-Babies as an investment.

I hope none of the Beanie-Baby freaks are looking for bobble-heads.

Every promo this year has been distributed in the same way. You walk through the turnstiles. There's just some big cardboard boxes on the ground, each attended by a single usher.

I've seen people cutting in line to snatch MillerLite rally towels. Fighting over the few remaining freaking bucket hats.

    I can't imagine the scrum for Bobble-Heads.

I hope the scrum won't be anything like the one this thread's about.

I really hope this offseason won't consist of only Webber and Zone threads.

I better get one.. I mean they claim to have 10,000 but knowing how the rockets do things they probably won't be able to stop people from getting multiples. They need to mark tickets or something .. because I wo'nt be a very happen person if I get there and the stadium is nearly empty but all the bobble heads are gone..

Got to the summit at 6-freakin O'clock! There was a line from the entrance of the summit to the street...Panic set in! Waited in the entrance line, THEN the bobble Head line. I got mine WHEW! At half-time there were still bobble Heads 5 stacks deepmleft at the give away station. Boy did I feel foolish! [IMG]
BTW, is anybody here REALLY gonna sell theirs?

I have no intentions of selling mine. It will be the center of my Rockets Shrine!

I cant believe they are selling so cheaply on Ebay...a guy offered me $50 bucks for mine right after I plucked it off the table. He was buying as many as he could, but no one was selling. The smart thing to do...like I did...was collect your coupon...no problem @ 6:30 pm...then I held onto it until the middle of the second quarter. Went out and bingo...no bobblehead line. Got a beer and a doll and was back in my seat before the timout was over. One of my buddies didnt make it to the gate until 7 and they had no more coupons, he ran to all the other gates to no avail...so he got no bobblehead.

What rockHEAD really needs for his shrine is a Moochie tie-dye bobble head.

    Check this out...
On Apr-17-01 at 06:02:49 PDT, seller added the following information:
    ...OOops!

    Please pardon the mistake,
Compaq Center is in Houston, Texas,
    Home of the Houston Rockets,
    NOT in Dallas!
    (It's just a typo)

OK, which of you guys bombarded this guy's e-mail box?!!

What is a Dukey Dollar? That doesn't sound like something I would want. I'll take regular old greenbacks, thanks.
