Chris is from a little town called Iola, Tx about a few hours from Houston. It only has a couple of paved roads and is very rural. We went there to visit his family a few times. He went to Blinn JC where we met. He was my best friend in college and still is a good friend(he sets me up with tickets and passes every time he comes home). He is a very good guy and ball player with a lot of energy. He is an unbelieveable leaper, he set the record for blocks at blinn in his freshman year. He was heavily recruited by clyde drexler when he was coach of u of h, but chris and me partied a little too much in college and both ended up having failing grades(domino games every night until about 3am). Therefore he could not go to u of h. He ended up going to play ball in china in the same league as yao. He actually called me from china one time and told me about yao who I had never heard of at the time. He eventually went on to be the first pick in the NDBL draft and was picked up by the nuggets before the end of the year. Any more questions?

Good post. Last year's game was AWESOME. Loved it. How could u not like the best players of the world, really competing, in a double overtime thriller, with the winning team's setup man being Houston's starting PG. I think Garnet was the player that stood out last year. And 3 years ago, it was a given that the West would blow out the East....and for 3 quarters they did....until the Marbury/Iverson led East came back to win by 1:eek: no matter what, I love the whole weekend!!

Yeah, so how long you two been dating? j/k.
It's cool that you have an NBA player as a friend.
Next time you talk to him ask him if he agrees with T-Mac's statement that 5% of the league is gay. (just wondering...)

It is definately wierd seeing him play. when we were in college he was good, but nothing like what he is today. although the he was known for his dunks there too. what is funny is remembering the typical college trouble we got into. have you ever seen a 7' as athletic as chris hop fences like he was a hurdler running from the cops after a party got busted and hitchhiking a ride back to the dorm? I have tons of these kinds of stories about us. I feel kind of bad though, because I partially blame myself for him not being able to go to div 1 and play ball, but hell we sure did have fun. I still cant believe he will be in the dunk contest. whats up with the gay question, believe me he wont know the answer all we did was chase girls in college. Well that and him getting into fights with my midget roommate.
