Wow, someone is borderline unhinged. My basic premise is: we can't keep piling taxes and mandates on the producing classes of the country, in an effort to subsidize other's lifestyle choices. Whenever government gets involved costs go up and efficiency goes down. If we, as a society, continue to impose those costs, watch as workers (mostly men) enter into the cash/black market economy, and businesses will continue to leave for more business friendly environments. And, if a worker continues to lose his or her money to the government in taxation, where is the incentive to work more, to get a higher-paying job etc? Then the fundamental premise of our economy and our society starts to break down. Indeed, this is already happening. Also, while the use and imposition of health insurance may help in some cases, it also causes costs to rise. It causes costs to rise by increasing administrative costs, and "masking" the price of services to consumers and end-users. And maybe for other reasons. These trends are clear in post WWII America. An additional basic premise of mine: you pay for your stuff, and I'll pay for mine. Being forced into insurance aka Obamacare -- or even worse the single-payer system -- is just all kinds of messed up, for the reasons detailed above.
How so? All of the other G7 countries that have universal healthcare their societies haven’t broken down.
Credit to Francis, everyone assumed that he was planning on keeping the money to run for president, but he's doing his best to spend more money in the last few weeks than damn near any other Senate hopeful raised. He's down to 10 mil cash on hand
Can we now make a big deal out of Beto's tax returns now too? p.s. The difference between Beto and Trump is.....Trump won. Oh, and I never send contributions to politicians. That's for stupid people with too much money.
Cause I realize the stupidity of contributing to campaigns. These guys get rich while we remain struggling. I'd rather light up a cigar with a $20 than give to a politician...literally the dumbest, biggest waste of $$$ ever created.
That is what I didn't understand about this latest attack. There are actual attack ads on the subject. I haven't figured out why that's bad or a reason not to vote for the guy. It seems to reek of desperation to me. I just don't understand.
Rich guy begs for donations from people of little means while his wife's family is worth billions. I would think those who donated (stupidly) and didn't know this fact might consider it newsworthy. Call me crazy...
Wow, you are either barking up the wrong tree w that guy or carrying a milkbone into an intellectual knife fight or both. Gather yourself. People donate to causes. You don't have to. We don't have to keep judging everyone around us by some clickbait standard.
I won't call you crazy, but it is crazy to think someone running for office wouldn't ask for donations. Trump's supposed billions didn't stop him from asking for donations Mitt Romney asked for donations. Hillary Clinton asked for donations. John Kerry asked for donations. I think just about every political candidate has asked for donations. Most of them came from rich families and/or married into rich families. It isn't unusual.
Ouch, brutal update at RCP, Francis has spent over 10 million dollars in the last week and the latest poll average has him down 7 points
