Eddie Cecco? I think I remember him reporting on the Rockets in the 90s, with his pal Fran Blueberry.

If we acquire Buckets; if we sign him long term..........Carl Herrera will change his username to Chagrined.

Does any other Internet forum have the amount of sources we have?

I mean, who really thinks that Morey would be going after Butler so heavy and be willing to give 4 1st round picks without some kind of assurance or intel that Butler would be willing to re-sign here?

Thanks for sharing. It aligns with the fact that Morey was willing to offer so many picks. I hope we have our starting three of the future on Wednesday.

True, and what about Harden looking for Jimmy in their lockeroom when he got injured? Melo being with him during the summer (we know Butler asked to be traded after last season ended...)...recruiting by our guys probably started long time ago.

    And if that's not enough...

I don't think Dieng is as overpaid as this is making it seem.

I mean, sure, he's paid about the same as Capela, and Capela is clearly way better.

But Dieng produces in limited minutes, for an organization that has been in constant organizational chaos since he was drafted. On the scale of will this guy get better in our system, Chriss should have been around a 0 or 1, whereas Dieng might be a 5. He's a guy that can legit play at the NBA level, and shoudl fit this system well as a backup C off the bench in the role Nene had 2 years ago.

    If the choice is between:

    (1) Butler + Dieng for EG, Knight, Nene, Chriss

    or

    (2) Butler for 4 first rounders, EG and fillers

I'd rather go with #1. Giving up 4 first rounders is just dangerous on many levels. Rockets could suck one year. You need mid/late first rounders anyway (see Capela). The inability to then trade your other year first rounders in other trades. Etc.

Or, another way to look at it, use some of the first rounders at the deadline and get an EG replacement.

You'd be shocked by how many posters are questioning this and the willingness of TF to go into the luxury tax for an upgrade to become a more superior team.

Heading into tax territory to resign Ariza or Luc is not a needle mover for this team. Netting Butler in a trade and forming a true Big 3 would be. Makes sense to us, but does not compute with many others.

There's a common sense element to this Intel that has me leaning toward believing it.
