    Reminder, Wolves have 2 games before Oct 31st (they play on Oct 31st). So Butler sits out tonite via "illness", he can sit out another and be ready to be moved.

    I would think if Tillman structures the contract with three years at a certain dollar amount and the fourth year at a big balloon payment it could happen. Take the massive luxury tax hit in a single season. Or some such creativity.

    It is laughable to think that Morey would 1) trade for Butler without taking into account the future salary structure of the team and 2) would trade 4 firsts for him thinking he would walk.

    If Morey trades for Butler, there is a plan. Just know that.

    Giving up 4 picks is very direct. Not very nuanced.

    You'd think it's rhetorical to say that but we have 10 threads on it now.

    It has to be included Knight, otherwise Tilman will reject.

    Knight's contract costs Tilman too much money next 2 years.

    Lets be honest..Jimmy is not 6'8. Seems NBA players today get 1-2" added to their actual heights all the time. Jimmy is a strong 6'6 at best. That or harden is 6'7 if Jimmy is 6'8. Even at 6'6, he's still big enough and strong enough to be a full time SF which he's played before.

    They made their bed with the 4 years for Chris Paul.

    He knew he was going for the third Allstar. No going back.

    Maybe Morey is on notice from new owner, because this seems like a desperation move. It's just too many assets.

    Man that's an incredible lineup. Another thing that's Awesome about this is that it will give Cp3 more time with Melo and now Rox got a guy that doesn't need the ball to be dangerous

    Can someone clarify: Can we do a Knight/Chriss deal on October 31/Wednesday, or would it have to wait until Nov 1/Thursday?

    @aelliott ?

    Wednesday...
    ESPN:
    A key date in Houston's pursuit of Butler could be Wednesday, league sources told ESPN's Zach Lowe. That is the two-month anniversary of the Rockets' acquisition of Brandon Knight and Marquese Chriss from the Phoenix Suns, at which point Houston can aggregate one or both of their salaries into trade packages.
