I told u guys last night it was going to have to be Gordon plus the picks.

Thinking we the wolves would take knight chriss and the picks when they didn’t take waiters Richardson and a pick was just dumb.

Maybe I’m in the minority but I don’t value picks like a lot of you do.

Now if we didn’t have the harden and cp3 I would say f butler keep the pick and tank like the 76rs.

But we’re in win now mode.

Dump Gordon and the picks and get a true big three. Rockets would have 3 top 12 players in the game with a great young center a great role player and melo.

Everything else would fall in line just fine.

If our latest offer is truly worse than the previous deals ... what does that mean for MIN ?

Does that mean the market for butler is going down ?

MIN has some leverage , but as it gets closer to the trade deadline they actually lose leverage . If they don't deal butler , he walks for nothing .

Also waiters is a far worse contract than knight .

Every time I look at it, I think that there has to be more to it. Morey is not that stupid to send out 4 first rounders and Eric Gordon.

His history and track record just don't add up to this kind of move.

He finessed OKC and got Harden and Harden signed an extension.

He finessed LAC and got CP3 and CP3 signed an extension.

The ONLY way I see Morey offering 4 first rounders is if 2 of them are heavily protected and Butler has agreed under the table to an extension after this year.

Morey is not an idiot guys.

 

Wolves have the leverage of other teams' offers.

They are not taking Knight's contract. It is doomed. Move on.

There is no one offering a better package - not sure why Minni thinks they have any leverage here. Jimmy B isn't coming back - take the picks and run before you get no value back in return and you spoiled your young stars on Minnesota because of all the negative vibes. No team is going to offer more for a player who isn't guaranteed to resign. Taking a starting level 2-way player like Gordon on a good contract and adding that to the mix is unacceptable.
