    This stuff doesn't happen in a vacuum, though. Morey can figure out a way to manufacture another few 1st rounders during those 7 years.

    Morey finally coming to the realization that this team is simply not good enough.

    Morey also coming to realization that we need Butler in addition to Tucker and Gordon. The only way we have a chance to compete with the Warriors in a 7 game series is if we have CP + Harden + Tucker + Butler + Gordon. That will be our death lineup against them. And then we have Capela + Ennis + Green.

    Stop relying and hoping that scrubs like MCW, Melo, Knight, Chriss, etc etc. are going to be the difference makers against the Warriors. Stop fooling yourselves.

    We have to go all in. When you have Harden + CP core, you have to go all in. It is now or never.

    I would rather take a solid chance of winning a ring and sucking for a couple years after than knowing we cant win and hoping the picks turn out good.

    Well, when you have under contract Capela, Tucker, Harden, Paul, Butler for at least 3 years, Gordon for 2, i'd say you won't need that much flexibility for trades, just use well the exceptions and 2nd rounders. Not saying it would be ideal, cause of course it wouldn't, but still...and i mean, we just got rid of Ryan Anderson without losing a single pick...

    This is simply too much to give for a one year rental. But if he stays then the tax will be way too much.

    If deal goes through, I can see them trade Capela for Salary relief later. He's the most replaceable between Harden, CP3, Butler and Capela.

    It never said it is all of our firsts. I can see us trading Gordon for a first and using it as part of the deal.

    Wow, I get home from work and check Clutch Fans and all S__T has broke lose. After last night, we need something to get this team energized and we all know that Butler has the juice to charge this team up. If the deal is Knight, 4 1st rd picks and scrap metal, then let's do it!

    Harden is in his prime and CP3 and Melo (and a bunch of other oldies on this team) could die on the floor at any minute. Who cares if we suck for the next decade if we can at least put ourselves in a good position to win a ring NOW?

    Maybe. Also possible we were always going to try to keep going after Butler and now that the time is nearing our offers are getting serious.
