Does anyone remember Ernest P. Worell?

    God, I just saw Ernest goes to Camp on TV, and it brought back alot of childhood memories, do any of ya'll remember him?

    I loved the Ernest movies when i was 10, me and my cousin watched them all and thought they were the funniest thing ever.

    RIP Jim Varney.

    My favorite was Ernest Scares Sh!tless. Or at least that's a movie I think I remember.:confused:

    Who the hell was Vern anyway? Did they ever even show the guy? I always thought he was that crazy little old guy, but I watched one the other day and found out there was no Vern.

    hahaha, I dont think they ever showed Vern, but he was somehow Ernest's favorite person, but he caused him alot of trouble.

    Varney launched that character doing commercials for a regional dairy company here in North Carolina. They were a big hit and he got a nice career going; he even got to play Jed Clampett on the big screen. Too bad he die so prematurely... :(

    Dude smoked since he was ten years old. I saw a TV special on him one time...He was actually a Shakespearean trained actor, but got stuck in that Ernest role...

    His best work by FAR, though, was as the Carnie in the Simpsons...

    I didn't know he was dead...I saw a special, I think last night, but said he was stuck with Ernest so long, that he had trouble getting type casted...

    I didn't know he was the dog Slink in the Toy Story movies...
