Anyone surprised by Skip "my ratings are down i need to create a controversy" Bayless' assessment that Chris Paul is the "dirtiest player in NBA history"? LOL I mean ever? Including the bad boy Pistons? Cmon man.
Precisely why I don't watch those shows. All about controversy...and being called out for being idiots is all good for them. Better to just not watch. If enough people stopped watching...they'd stop showing that chit. Undisputed! Ha! Fullofshitus! is much more accurate. I did see a montage clip of various dirty plays from CP3 over the years (fitting into the 'paint Rockets as the bad guys' narrative)...and I think painting him as a dirty player does have some merit. Does that make him a bad teammate, or the guy you love having on your team? I also can't think of anything he's done since being a Rocket that fell into that category. Has he? FWIW...the issue with the Clippers, and I think most importantly between Jordan and Paul, is that CP3 really wanted to win, and really disliked stupid things that kept that from happening. Do I want playerslike that? on my team? Yessirree! Give me several of them! Conversely, do I want players that just quit on your team in the playoffs because they don't like being coached? That's a hard NO! Completely opposite ends of the spectrum, actually. And this was with Carlisle, who is as much a player's coach as anybody. But you can't work with people who think they are bigger than the coach.
Can you believe there are actually people out there WHO STILL dont think Rondo did it intentionally??? How, he tried to be sneaky and get away with it?
Other than Demarcus Cousins (and maybe Dwight Howard) the first person I think of when I hear the phrase "locker room cancer" is Rondo.
A friend of a friend was a video guy for the Clippers (now with Cavs) when CP3 was there. He told me that Chris Paul was disliked by a lot of people including teammates. So there is a lot of truth to Rondos statement. And, my dream of Rondo backing up Paul is dead.
CP3 is popular enough to be voted President of the Players Union. Enough said. Rondo couldn’t get voted in as....well anything. Maybe Valet or Door Greeter.
You don't want the head of the Union to be buddy buddy with everyone. You want someone who will get the job done. CP3 is smart and tough and he won't take **** from the owners.
Yet DJ wanted to come to Houston last year, and rumors that JJ Reddick seriously considered the Rockets before Philly made him the fat offer. Oh, and Luc signed here right after Chris.
Reggie Miller has proven over and over again that he has the IQ of a hamster. He should've never become a commentator. When there's video evidence about something, it isn't about what people "think". This is approaching flat-earth status.
this is news? why do you think cp3 wanted to leave in the first place. Bc he didn't like the clips and what they were doing and they had no intention of trying to win. there's alot of truth to Rondo's statement. what a joke. if players that have no intention of competing at the highest level don't like him then who cares. And looking at the history of his rosters during his time there, that shouldn't be shocking. cp3 has a well known priority and thats playing hard and winning as much as he can.
I think it is possible he spat unintentionally. But, he definitely spat. So, as much as he wants to rationalize his intentions away, body language and all that, he can see in the video as clearly as anyone else that he spat in Paul's face. Intentional or not, he should understand Paul's reaction, he should recognize a poke in the eye is actually pretty reserved because Rondo would have expected punches. He could have said, "I see in the video that I had spat. I didn't intend to do that and I didn't understand Chris' reaction at the time, but now I see why Chris thought I did it on purpose and got upset. I'm sorry." But, he's not man enough to do that. Of course Chris Paul could take a similar approach: "I got upset in the heat of the moment about Rajon spitting at me. Watching the video and thinking about it, it's possible it was an accident on Rajon's part and I'm sorry I'd jumped to conclusions." Of course, the fact that Rajon denies it even happening at all despite video evidence makes that a little harder.
Nah no way, he did it intentionally you see the pucker up his lips and look away twice trying to get away with it. But Yea I do agree with you if he did it unintentionally(which O don't believe at all).
