I'm obviously not satisfied with the on-court result, but I commend D'antoni for trying out different lineups and players.

The only player so far that I feel is somewhat unplayable is MCW. He seems hesitant when on the floor with Harden but more decisive by himself. However, his atrocious shooting is what turns me off, he can't make FT's or the 10-12 ft jumper or the 3, useless.

Hartenstein has made a few bone-headed plays but he brings good energy, I want to see more.

Would like to see more from Clark, but I know it's a bit of a longshot with D'antoni.

Overall, Rockets are inconsistent with defensive rotations and lots of holes, this year is going to be a process, but I don't sense a lack of effort or apathy, so things should get better as the year goes.

We cannot afford to lose CP3 to an injury this year. The team we're looking at tonight is last year's team minus CP3, Ariza, and Mbah a Moute. That's 3 out of your top 7 players from last year's team gone just like that.

Melo and MCW are disasters out there. Good thing they’re just minimum deals, but I can’t see what either player brings to the table anymore. Melo is doing a pretty good Charles Barkley 1997 impersonation; feels like he’s running in molasses.

D’Antoni had almost nothing to do with the defense. That was all coach B. Roy Rogers is well liked but not as experienced or as demanding as Coach B. Couple that with new rotation pieces and it will take awhile.

There are maybe 5-6 genuine difference making assistants on the D side in the NBA. They all are under contract with other teams (Indy/GS/SA) and only a few of those switch like we do.

Charles Barkley was still pretty good in 1997. Melo more like 1999 Barkley

If you are counting on anything from Knight, you will be disappointed.

The next Rocket to stop someone from BLOWING by them off the three point line will be the first Rocket to do so.

All I can say is it's a hell of a lot better to suck now than after the trade deadline.
