    i dont know about rocket killers but nop are going to be a good playoff team this year once again. AD has made it a point to take that next step into one of the true elites and they seem to have a consistent identity now. Hou didn't lose to some bottom feeding team at least but yeah a lot to work on for where they want to be

    My biggest concern from last nights game was how average CP3 looked. I knew that contract will obviously cripple us in a few years, but I don’t expect it to look that taxing this year. Expect a lot more from our highest paid player this season (in the games he does play).

    But getting rebs and blocks have nothing to do with being "on fire". When De Andre Jordan gets 3 blocks and 12 rebs in a game people don't say he was on fire.

    * half wrong

    i expected NOLA to bring it. the part i was wrong about was not expecting our guys to show up drunk and our coaching staff to be so clueless :D

    same bro same, i never said pelicans weren't gonna bring it. in retrospect makes sense we'd be **** on defense since so much communication is involved and we have new guys playing significant minutes. even last year our defense didn't really take off until halfway into the season

    Yesterday my two favorite teams took L's at their home openers. Its payback time. The Rockets have to show up on Saturday (Damn it, they're getting a couple days rest and practically every player on the team has a second residence in LA and will be basically sleeping in their own beds) and ruin the Lakers home opener.

    We had a very tough time against the Lakers last year as well. Can’t remember scores but I remember a couple tight games and a loss. Good thing their team didn’t improve this year

    We have also beat them pretty handily and the games we lost or it was close, we had injuries and were coasting(at least thats what it looks like to me). But I will say, these Lakers could beat us just as badly as the Pels did, maybe worse.

    Just curious.

    There's plenty of reasons why someone would choose the Clippers over the Lakers. One major reason starts with just looking at Lakers fans. They have a bunch of Cholo fans. Have you ever seen a Raiders fan? Well chances are those raiders fans are also Lakers fans.Many of their fans have shaved heads and riot after big games. Clippers fans are more of the suburban crowd that live on the outskirts of L.A.
    Also, lakers fans are like the Yankees fans of basketball: loud, obnoxious, and entitled.
    Add to that the dysfunctional rift between their players: Kobe vs Shaq, Kobe vs Dwight, Kobe vs...well, everybody. That sort of drama pushed many fans away.
    Of course from the outside looking in people don't understand the choice. They simply look at the history of success on the court and think that's the only factor fans take in choosing a team, but there's a lot more to it. When you come to L.A. set aside time to check both teams' fan bases out....it's night and day with regard to the culture of each fan base

    My biggest concern is that at one point in the 3rd quarter they are led by 31 points and Jeff Van Gundy said that Rockets defense is awful.
